Arriving at La Digue feels like sailing straight into a painting, brimming with brush strokes of blue, green and tan. The beaches here are spectacular, particularly Grand Anse and Anse Source d'Argent, which is strewn with pink granite rocks. There are very few cars here, so traveling by bike or by ox cart is the way to go. Pedal over to Ile de Cocos for snorkeling or gawk at the rare Paradise Flycatcher (a beautiful black bird) at the Veuve Nature Reserve.

The restaurant is pretty busy being the only restaurant close to anse source d'argent. The setting is nice, outdoor terrasse. Grilled fish was OK, but a bit overcooked. Normal pricing for La Digue. Service was rude, no smile...
Still, it's probably the best option close to anse source d'argent.

It had great Creole open buffet offering lots of options from fish to salad to local dessert. For 3 adults and 1 kid, we paid a total of 1580 rupees (excluding drinks). All in all, the best address for trying out Creole food in La Digue.

This restaurant is a local restaurant located on the main road next to the supermarket and barclays bank. Food is great. Try the smoked fish salad ! It's very tasty. We went there twice. First time we ordered the foccacia pizza for lunch, topping was massive. Great price only for 210 scr. Second time we went back for dinner we had 2 smoked fish salads, a lasagna, pasta bolognese and 2 ice creams. We ended up paying just 490 scr. Very reasonable price ! Be careful when you order pasta bolognese as the portion is so huge that it can easily feed 2 men.
I'd definitely recommend going to this restaurant.

I felt like we had come across a setting out of an imaginary land with higgledy-piggledy tables and chairs cut out of branches and palm leaf shadded areas and swings tied to trees!
The bar is a friendly animated area with an array of fresh fruit juices and the most delicious cocktails.
The gents behind the counter will happily deliver your drinks anywhere on the beach.
Prices are very good for the Seychelles too!

Allen is the friendly and hospitable owner and cook with many years of experience. We recommend whole barbecued fish creole style, which is his specialty. It was so delicious that we asked Allen for the recipe, which he was pleased to give us.
We tried other dishes, which were not only tasty but also very reasonably priced.
You can eat on the premises or takeaway as many local people do. Where the locals eat is the best recommendation for good home food.

We had heard about the Bellevue Sunset dinner thru TA reviews but only got round to enquiring about it the day before. It was the highlight of our 16 days in the Seychelles celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary..
A crazy journey by truck to and from the restaurant up/down a very steep hill had us wondering if we would make it back in one piece! All good fun.
The sunset view was stunning looking out over La Digue to Praslin, Silhouette Island and Mahe. The preset dinner was excellent and we enjoyed fish, vegetable curry, barbeque chicken. Wine was reasonably priced (from 375 rupees)and we washed our dinner down with a South African Rose. Buying a bootle of wine lasts the whole dinner whilst buying an individual cocktail or drink will not last very long. Total cost incl wine for two was 1375 rupees.

We had a lovely Indian meal here. The place looked a bit empty at first but soon filled up. The food was freshly cooked and piping hot- a great choice on the menu. The wine was suprisingly reasonable once we had managed to explain which bottle we wanted. Nice outdoor setting as well.

Rustic Italian restaurant nested in tropical garden by the indian ocean
First, the place is very well decorated in true Italian style with a perfect good taste. Second, all staff are welcoming and efficient, making you feel very comfortable from the start. Then, of course, there is the food...fantastic quality for a reasonable price and the smell of the pizza oven in the air is the final typical touch.
I have problems to understand so e negative comments about this place based only on price and not taking quality in consideration. The prices are indicated on the menu, so if it is too much for their budget, people should refrain from ordering ?

We stayed here with my wife during lunch time.. prices are little bit higher but it is Praslin/La Digue problem in all restaurants. Staying here was fine, after hard bicycle ride :)

The food was solid and clearly very popular among tourists. We took our home to our balcony. However don't expect a Michelin star food food the price - even if it's not really cheap by regular take away standards.
PS: Forget the cocktails. They're not good.
