Wow what a restaurant, the candle light atmosphere is worth the trip.
The service at the table is impeccable Even when busy, and the manager/owner always around to ensure that everyone is having a good time.
The food selection is to please everyone, from a veggy burger to maroccan meza you will find something really appeling.

From our exclusive continental buffet breakfast, at L'Auberge you'll enjoy our wish to offer great service. For lunch, at the barbecue or inside the hotel, you can try the famous uruguayan meats, fresh fish and a variety of delicious home made pasta, or carefully prepared fresh salads. We invite you to enjoy dinner in the quiet of the night, while our chefs prepare your main dishes and desserts and you find the perfect excuse to open a bottle of an exquisite wine.
We explored Punta Del Este for a few days as a side trip from Buenos Aires and discovered this charming hotel. It reminded us more of a cottage in the Cottswalds than in the seaside Uruguayan town. Manicured grounds, a beautiful pool and adorable restaurant made our visit so pleasant.

We were lucky to chance upon Flo cafe while driving through La Barra during winter. Most places are closed. Their salmon and egg Sandwich is excellent. The coffee is also good. It was too cold to stay out on the veranda overlooking the sea but the large picture window was enough to take in the view and the sunlight. Lovely and quaint. I am sure this place is packed during the summer. Highly recommended for coffee, bread, sandwiches and pastries !

Al Forno is a Magic place where Chef Federico will amaze you with a combination of different and organic ingrediends in a rustic but classy sourronding.
The service is excellent , and if you shouldn't find the way to Get there, don't worry they will guide you better than a tom tom. The real star is the food. Must try the brotola, chevice and the meat, absolutely astonishing.
I enjoyed.

Heard this restaurant was very good. Was not disappointed! I had the citrus chicken which was slow cooked with vegetables - excellent! Everyone else ordered something different - pizza,
Chicken Tacos and chicken cannoli - everyone loved what they'd ordered. We ate outside and had wonderful and friendly servers! Most enjoyable!

We have eaten at Fasano many times since the hotel opened as the setting, views and decor of the restaurant are outstanding. Yesterday however we had a truly disappointing experience and will not return. Appetizers cost $30-40 while entrees are in the $60-70 range. At this price level you expect outstanding service anywhere in the world, especially on a day when the restaurant is half empty (see attached photo) which was surprising this time of the year. However the service we received at Fasano can best be described as awful.
Most waiters did not speak Spanish. Nobody greeted us when we arrived. When we were seated we were served water and then nobody came the table for a very long time. We had to ask for the drinks, we had to ask for the menues, we had to ask for more water every time our glasses were empty. When our bread bins were empty, they stayed empty for the rest of the evening. We asked for only one desert and they brought the wrong one. There was a complete lack of coordination among the staff.
We asked for the manager and complained twice. However we could not see any meaningful difference in the service level offered. The food was quite good but, as I mentioned before, all of 6 of us were very disappointed and will not return. There are many excellent restaurant in Punta del Este where they actually care about you.

I am starting to have doubts about this place, once among my favorites in the world. Food is still good- smaller portions,it's true. Drinks are a lot worse than in the past, as is the limited wine selection. But service has really deteriorated a lot: toilets had no water and/or were dirty, they were poorly prepared for rain, the awnings were full of holes and could not properly protect clients from the water. Additionally, the manager wanted to leave the place before the clients. As $160/person, I would (and do) expect a lot more. Maybe they should get back to basics and do an internship with La Huella folks!

Dinner with other three couples. Very nice environment. Service was very good. Suggest to select a table outdoors, otherwise may become too noisy. Food was very good. Prices high but aligned with quality of place and food.
