This restaurant was a great find. It is quite expensive but worth it. The atmosphere is very upscale and so is the food. The chef takes great pride in what is served and explains each dish. Plan on spending the entire evening and you will feel like a judge from the TV show "Iron Chef."

The restaurant asked us to pre-order the starter and the main dishes because we were a pax of 20+. The restaurant is pretty cute and the service is typically for that area, friendly and open minded. Beside the fact that they obviously mixed up with the starters, they made it very well. The dishes are huge, taste is ok, but not outstanding.

We had a ladies dinner yesterday. We chose a three course menu and everything was so delicious. In Addition their service was excellent. They even prepared for us a menu in Japanese! I always complain about the service in Germany but I really recommend this...MoreDear naomii213, Thank you very much for this amazing comment! Looking forward to welcoming you and/or your friends again in the Redüttchen! Best regards. The Redüttchen-Team

We stopped here when walking trough Köningswinter. This is a genuine old school bar. It was established in 1600 and still has the same old charm. Drinks at good prices, very freindly staff !

Great Terrace with a view and a large old tree. Menu has many seasonal items. Food is decent but not special. Large wine list by the glass, inexpensive but well equipped. Very friendly staff, funny and knowledgeable. A place for tourists and locals as well. Definitely a place to come back to.

Exclusive and easygoing. Japanese dumplings, miso salmon with yuzu turnips, sorbet with Szechuan pepper and traditional nigiris and makis go down very well with the business clientele and Japanese food fans. The dining area is light and airy with cream-coloured furniture. The tables are round and the tableware is exquisite. White man-sized vases provide a striking decorative feature throughout the room. The staff are friendly and will help you choose the right wine and the right sake from a very wide selection available. There is even Japanese beer on the menu.
This is one of the best of the best of the best Japanese food I ever had in Europe.
The chef deserves a warm hug.
They went out of the way to create pure veg food for my fam

Ever since I came to Germany, I wanted to taste authentic local food. This place was recommended by a family member, and indeed its memorable. Overlooking breathtaking views of nearby vineyards, green hills and lovely architecture. It offers lovely food, and a great family and formal atmosphere. I wish the weather was nicer, because the owner would have had an open fire barbeque, but this is another reason to let me visit when the sun is shining! Its self-service though, failing which, it would have gotten a perfect 5, but, the staff are never the less very friendly. The place, also has a couple of goats running around, and a small children’s playing area, which is amazing for families. sehr gut

Only if you know about it you will find because out of all touristic places. Again a rainy day but lunch at Gut Sulz made our day sunny. A beautiful " fachwerkhaus" with lots of different rooms, a warm welcome, a good lunch and delicious wine. Reasonable prices!

If I remember correctly I believe this was at the top of the hill at the castle. The view was very nice and you could walk up the hill to see the ruins.
