Family business prepare and service local greek dishes with a great success ,the choice is yours.
Dined tonight at this beautiful family restaurant on water's edge. Very generous gratis entrees and freshly cooked tasty main courses. Accompanied by local wines. A real winner. Delightfully looked after by our host Costas Been here a few years ago and we will be back !!

we normally prefer traditional tavernas and restaurants when visiting the greek Islands...well, 'hartino karavi' is not a traditional taverna, however, combines traditional tavernas' advantages (home-cooked dishes, fresh and local incredients) suitably dressed in the fresh atmosphere and decoration of a modern restaurant. We had starters, salad and pasta/risotto for main dishes and everything was well-prepared, delicious and properly presented! The staff was smiley and quick and even the chef came to ask us if everything was ok which is not very common for greek restaurants in the Islands especially during high-season period! Dessert was also very good (profiterole)!
A reservation is required during August.Strongly recommended!

In the restaurant-tavern ARCHIPELAGOS you will enjoy in a great family atmosphere with breathtaking views the wonderful home cooking of Mrs Helen, with a variety of delicious cooked foods (organic vegetables from the melon field of Mr Costas !!!). Fresh eggs, fish and meat, local recipes (Tarakto, Courgette balls, Kopanisti cheese (Local) Chickpeas, Sfouggata) in conjunction of local wine.
We had to visit 'archipelagos' as no1 in TA list.Home-cooked, delicious food, quick professional and polite service, almost everything was perfect. Just a small advice: starters are coming first and main courses follow, we got our main dishes (lamb and rooster) and then we had fried sqids wich was ordered as a starter. Off course it s a dish that needs more time to be prepared but that kind of small things distinguish the perfect from the very good!

The calamaris was chewy and not fried long enough, the goat was more bone then meat, the starters came together with the main course and one waiter can clearly not do a full restaurant by himself (he was friendly enough though)

Lovely home cooked food, a good location right by the harbour and one of the only places in loutra with a strong wifi signal. Polite and friendly staff. Would recommend highly.

We went there because of the delay of ferry and of the rating in TripAdvisor (this is the proof that this rating does not fit all).
We ordered lightly salad, tzatziki etc.). Food was not something to remember. The fried zucchini were dripping oil and whilst our neighbor table received grilled bred slices, we only got the cheaper version (non grilled) perhaps because our order was not as high..?
Service was extremely lame (although the place was quite empty 3-4 tables), e.g. we asked if they had some fruit - after 3 times asking we received a positive reply, but at the end we did not get any because they did not have fruits.
Last but not least, when we asked for the receipt, they gave us the handwritten paper on which they take the orders, although they are obliged to print legal receipts on the cash register. The amount on the paper was 30,50 EUR. I asked to pay per credit card and then they issued a regular receipt for 31 EUR (interesting how the POS does automatically round-up).
I believe this is an overvalued place because it is right in front of the yachts. We have had better service and food in other places on the island.

As an alternative there is a very good small taverna in Messaria (the only one ;-)))). Even though there are no such dishes' variety like in Beggera but nevertheless everything was very fresh and well-made. I loved their fava which is the best fava I've ever tried. Also we took a beef stew with rice, Greek salad and red wine. The food was delicious and the prices were quite low. Highly recommended!

I was trying to find the words to describe the taste! Awesome! They deserve a Michelin Star! One of the best cuisines I have ever tasted. The service is also genuinely friendly, and they answer any question you may have. Well done and keep up the good work.

This place has various choices for breakfast (in comparison to the rest of the restaurants nearby) and also very yummy ice cream. The food is also satisfactory and the prices are reasonable. I recommend to try their handmade sausage (choriàtiko loukàniko). They also have a specialty: potato baked in the oven, filled with milk cream, mushrooms and bacon. The potato is already baked so stress that they should warm it properly, otherwise it will be cooler inside. My wife and I dined there every day after having tried other restaurants in Loutra. The staff is friendly. Beware that they give you a receipt only if you ask for it —they give you another "check" instead that has no legal importance. It's the sum of the order.

We were not impressed from the quality of service or food from this highly commended Greek restaurant. While the place and decoration looks fab, we found that the food (lamb chops and traditional "thermiotiko" plate) lacked any taste and that the portions were quite small. Although the place is packed, there is only one member of staff taking orders, so be prepared to wait and wait ...Also, for the quality of food and service we received we found the prices unreasonable..
