The Bistro Loch Tay is now under new management and will be run as an Italian Bistro for the rest of this 2017 season. Ciro and his team would be happy to welcome you to the bistro for either a simple coffee or a well prepared meal we look forward to seeing you in the near future
We booked the bistro for our evening meal during our three night stay in the lodges. Beautiful setting overlooking Loch Tay. A good choice of dishes on the menu to suit everyone's taste. Our main course arrived quickly after ordering which everyone enjoyed. A bit disappointed in our dessert service. Sweets arrived intermittently with us eventually having to ask for the remaining 4 dishes. Waitress was very apologetic at delay.
Overall a nice meal in lovely surroundings.

Well our friends took us for dinner at the hotels restaurant. Pleasantly surprised as we have visited the area a couple of times but never visited before. The hotel and restaurant are nicely decorated and very clean.
The wecome is warmly and second to none. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The menu is small but the variety of dishes is well balanced. The food was presented well and of a good quantity.
I had the haggis to start with and was beautiful. My main course was the steak which was slightly over cook as i asked for rare and im sad to say was tastless. This was back up by my friend who had the same and agreed. Everybody else in our party found there dishes of a good standard.
The cheese board was lovely and the creme brulee was described by two guests as the best they had ever had.
All in all the minor slip with the steak, i would be visiting again on my next trip.

Across the road from the waterfall this is a pleasant location to have lunch.
The menu is not extensive but there seems to be all the major options covered.
Prices are quite high but as this was the only place we ate I cannot compare them.
Killin is a very pleasant town and well worth a visit and you must spend a few minutes getting some photographs of the falls.

We had a three course meal here on Friday 3rd November. The food was lovely! Thoroughly recommend the game terrine, mushroom pasta and the curry. The cheese board is amazing. Saturday 4th November we had burgers and they were amazing! The food is tasty, good portions and very good value!

Genuinely family run small hotel with comfortable en quite bedrooms, great food and welcoming team. The restaurant serves only fresh locally produced prepared and presented food treated with care and served by friendly, hospitable local staff in a traditional family run Scottish Inn.
A very nice hotel with a reasonable size restaurant, pleasant staff and excellent food. On offer on the specials menu was a fish pie, not ever having eaten one before I can only say it was one of the tastiest pies I have ever had the pleasure of eating! Packed full of fish and all kinds of seafood my tastebuds literally loved every bite!
My wife chose the veal which whilst it was a very large portion she found it very bland despite the tasty sauce that accompanied it.
The two meals with 2 large glasses of house wine and a pint of bitter came to £47 not a bad price to pay.

near the junction of Main st and Craignavie rd
Restaurant was very quiet when we went mid-January. But, to be expected as not tourist season.
Open all year round - unlike many other places to eat nearby. This was our third option after other places were closed for winter.
Good portions and decent prices. Simple food (sandwiches, toasties, baked potatoes etc) but good enough for us.
Has a view over the waterfall if you get a window seat.

Very very well prepared food, something for everyone and served up by attentive staff. I would think booking would be necessary as it gets busy busy.

Staying at the campsite across the road so chose here for an evening meal. Wish we had walked further into the village. Food obviously not home cooked as advertised. The menu only lists main dish so you don't know it's frozen chips and peas with everything until it arrives. If you are going to serve frozen chips at least use decent ones. Female staff were friendly enough but the man ( I won't use the term "gentleman") gave us a very frosty reception. Maybe he doesn't like English tourists or maybe its just motorhomers. I should think a large number of the the customers are from the campsite as locals probably know to go elsewhere.

In our Restaurant you can enjoy home-baked Scones, Cakes and Cheesecakes. The meals are freshly prepared to order and our home cooked evening meals offer fresh Scottish Fayre - so please be patient, if you have to wait it will be well worth waiting for! If you are just in for lunch or something more substantial there is something to meet all tastes.
Recently stayed at the campsite on a gloriously sunny weekend. Lovely quiet site in a beautiful location. A few minutes walk through the forest to the shore of Loch Tay. Ideal if you have your dogs with you. Had our evening meal in the restaurant on site. Located at the entrance to the campsite in a wooden lodge type building it has a variety of food on offer at reasonable prices. Also a good range of spirits & some weird & wonderful beers, which are worth a try, if only to taste something different for a change. Friendly service from the staff in a relaxed setting. The food is plentiful & well cooked. Well worth giving a try.

My partner and I visited this little fish and chip van last week during our stay in Killin. Despite being very, very busy with customers from the Triathlon, the lady serving was very cheerful and efficient!
The food was fresh and very tasty! It didn't leave you with that regretful, bloated feeling you sometimes get after a chippy!
Definitely recommend this little fish and chip van. Great food and customer service which is sure to leave a smile on your face :)
