This resteurant serves very well spiced (hot) chinese food. It is inexpensive and almost always busy. There is a buffet until 3pm and surprising it keeps its good quality from day to day. I ate several times in this place and would difinately go again.

A cosy seashore restaurant. Relaxing sauna followed by a tasty glowfried salmon dinner makes your evening just... perfect.

A la Carte, Chaine des Rotisseurs At the second floor of the Hotel Merihovi you can found the best restaurant of Kemi. Merihovi's cuisine skillfully combines flavors of Sea-Lapland Scandinavians in the kitchen. Handmade dose and a wide wine list. Stylish functionalist-style dining hall with original Paavo Tynell lighting is a sight in itself.
For a nice sit down meal in the heart of Kemi go to the classic looking restaurant at the Merihovi Hotel. In particular I recommend their very tasty Lohikeitto or Salmon Soup, apersonal favorite of mine! If you stay at the hotel make sure you try their sauna!

Olutravintola Kukko is located at the pedestrian zone of main street "Valtakatu", in the same building with the hotel Palomestari. If you prefer a genuine pub atmosphere and like to try different beers and whisky's this is your place. On two changing taps they usually have Finnish craft beers and more regular ones on the others. And a lot more in bottles. The whisky selection is easily the best in town also. Great place, but don't be afraid if it's a bit loud at times. Usually nice and quiet though. In the summertime they have a large patio as well.

Location, view of the harbor and service was good.
My wife had a very good looking and tasty salad with Finnish smoked salmon, she gave good feedback.
But...My burger was overcooked (black = burned) and the bun was hard as a rock. I did not complain, just ate half. Fries were great!
Will go again myself but try something else from the menu or ask for burger medium.

I visited her while my stay in the hotel. This is just another hotel restaurant, but nothing more. I had a starter and pasta. Their portions lack of quality. Anyway they are reasonable priced.
I felt the staff was not friendly, they were just doing their job.

We offer real Chinese food, we can provide quality services according to customers' different needs
Very happy to find a Chinese run restaurant, they do serve some Chinese foods eventhough the choices are not much.
The service is good and friendly, run by husband and wife team from 天津。
The foods are tasty, pretty good if you can take some saltiness and spices. I like it because not much MSG and free salad if you help yourself.
It was a pretty enjoyable dinner in the cold weather in Kemi.

Visited the place since my friend recommended this as a great place to have lunch. I think this is one the best places for thai food I have esten in Finland. For the price of 9,90€ you can have really tasteful thai buffee. Starter salads, warm dishes and dessert cookies and coffee or tea. Warm recommendation for lunch place.

We stopped here for a late lunch / early dinner and were not disappointed. We got the Kemi Original Burger (beef patty) and the Kemi Special Burger (lamb stew with herbs) with fries and soda. The both burgers were super delicious and tasty. I loved the lamb especially. It’s a little messy but, totally worth it! Also, €25 for two full meal isn’t bad for Finland.
