Authentic Chettinad Food, The best place for Chettinad food in the area. Very nice food, tasty, variety of authentic chetinad style.
Air-conditioned, clean and large place..Fine non-vegetarian selection for lunch and dinner..With meals, one side non-vegetarian dish is mandatory..And you get 3 gravies (mutton, chicken and fish) for rice..Two vegetables..Ample and unlimited..Very courteous staff..A/C charges are Rs. 20 per head..!!

We stopped to have lunch at The Bangala never dreaming of the culinary delight that awaited us.
The setting was lovely, the food (Indian only) was utterly delicious and the service was exceptional.
There were rooms attached to the restaurant and we were sorry we didn't have time to stay a few days. Fabulous place. Thoroughly recommended by our whole group.

I was there @ Karaikudi for a one day business visit, being a vegetarian I opted to take lunch @ annalakshmi near periyar statue...it was a horrible experience... quality was not up to the mark..I hope in coming days, they would rectify.. sorry team annalakshmi..

Dined here with my family on a late afternoon, when rest of restaurants were closed for lunch as it was way past lunch time. The decor was normal but definitely cleaner and hygienic than those restaurants I've visited in the town. They offer vegetarian Thali meals and dishes like fried rice, vegetable briyani, gobi and mushroom manchurian for lunch. I tried their fried rice and it was pleasing. The serving was huge. The gobi manchurian was not bad too but the mushroom masala was a let down. The mushrooms didn't taste fresh and they didn't use button mushrooms. Service was prompt and the food was reasonably priced. Overall, it's a decent vegetarian restaurant that serves non-chettinad cuisine food for a reasonable price.

Average facility..but, location is just great..100' road, ample parking, nearby bus stand (new) and very close by for wedding halls and this hotel also has one..that's about it. OK for overnight stay for wedding attendance..not comfy for tourists to this area. Good hall for functions.

A typical Chettinadu food that is as good as eating in a Chettiar house, traditional items from sweets to meals (3 course with 3 vegetable preparations - today's lunch with Vaazhakkaai poriyal, Karunaikkizhangu masiyal, pudalangaai Kootu was excellent. Vegetarian..dinner is tiffin. Not open for breakfast (I have had earlier, ukkaaru or dhumroot halwa for sweet, which are marriage house specials in Chettinadu..

Ads in theatre bring one to this non-veg food place..locational advantage, right behind new bus stand..standard non-veg Food presented better in airconditioned environment. Limited parking. Service is poor as after taking order, many items are reported as already over. Country chicken (believed to be Nattukkozhi) is good. Fruit juices also available for a change in non-veg hotel..

chettinad court, a unique value for money restaurant in chettinad. The restaurant is very close to national highway 210 that connects trichy, Madurai and tanjore. it serves authentic chettinad cuisine. indian and chinese dishes are also available in the menu.
The rooms are clean, but small. The bathroom is also very small and had a strange smell. When we asked about it ,they immediately cleaned it.
But I think the smell was from the thatched roof!
The staff is very small but very good. The food was always excellent and they made whatever we asked for. But we have to give them time to make it at each meal.
We noticed a lot of tourist groups drop in for lunch.
