Southwest of Seville, Jerez is a well-heeled place. It’s the home of the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and its famous dancing horses; if you’re on a budget or can’t be there for a formal performance, it’s worth dropping in to catch a morning training session. The other major reason to visit Jerez is to sample its most famous product—sherry. You can do this at a number of bodegas associated with the world’s best-known brands, including Bodegas Tio Pepe, The House of Sandeman, Jerez, and Pedro Domecq. They’ll soon have you knowing your amontillado from your oloroso. There’s also an Alcázar, dating back to the time of the Almohads, which features a small mosque, now the chapel of Santa María Real.

Totally love the idea of tabancos and this is no exception. Got advised to come here because of the large tapas proferred to visitors. This would be because it's more expensive and my only gripe. We got offered a lovely helpful waiter called ricky as he spoke English. Our fault entirely as we didn't put him into check as he asked what we liked and he basically ordered for us with no thought to price. Another slight grioe is thst as soon as you finish one dish its up and gone and the next is placed on the table with no respite, as there is such a mass of people propping the bar they all want a table. We started off with a plate of prawns and then moved onto red snapper covered in prawns then onto sirloin steak and another dish of cheese. Didn't like the sherry as in other tabancos so asked for a red wine. Two bottles of one of the loveliest local reds I have ever tasted we settled the bill for €74. Not massively expensive but in Jerez where we spent €20 the next night in the same fashion..have to say the food and wine was absolutely fantastic hence the 5 stars.

A food and wine experience in a corner grocer . Where savor fine cuisine and earth with the widest range of wines and brandies of Jerez wines of our stock
What a really great restaurant. And the word ‘awesome’ is totally banned. And whilst on that topic ‘absolutely’ deserves the ‘up against the wall’ treatment. Scourges, Blights and Viruses. Keel-hauled. As you were.
Ok, this was our third visit but... let us say...on previous evenings the pre-dinner tour of Jerez’s finest bodegas and sherry bars had possibly left our objectivity a little... blurred.
This visit. Super-chilled and relaxed vibe (no screaming brats, no yapping toy-dogs, no revving motorcycles, no hammering DIY - unfortunately all of which plagued my visit to Jerez on this trip). Painful and then some.
Unlike the locals we were standing at the door all set for the 20:00 evening kick-off. As you are probably aware this un-Godly hour in Spain means the restaurants are empty. And? No problemo.
Great wine (oddly, limited wine list by bottle, however by the glass was perfection) great food (Red Partridge Tatin was a no holds barred slam-dunk. Tuna tartare ditto).
Service that just serves; professional and attentive. NICE. Absolutely awesome...
Bravo.

This restaurant has more than 35 years old. Tradicional food Fish. Meat. Sea food We Oslo have a tapas area
Can't really complain too much. I only got 3 tapas. The staff seemed friendly. They provided a complimentary glass of Sherry which was nice. If you're getting Tapas, make sure you memorize what you want from the menu on the side of the building. It has the English translation, because their tapas table menu does not have translations (strangely, their entrees table menu does have translations)

Office of wines from 1925, with flavor to època, between barrels of good sherry, and a simple variety of traditional lids of the land, we are in the corazòn of the city between the Blue Rooster and the Theatre Villamarta. THE ONLY PLACE TO TASTE THE WINE AND TO SHARE CHATS WITH THE FRIENDS.... COME AND ENJOY THE AUTHENTIC FLAMENCO JEREZ, with free shows every da
The atmosphere was sensational. The place was crowded and you had to elbow your way to the bar but it reeked of old fashioned Spain. The bar guys scrawling the bill in chalk on the bar top was so good. Food was excellent and beer and wine were good and reasonably priced. To be honest the flamenco the night we went didn't really float our boat but it was free so you can't complain. Really glad we got to experience this place.

A popular place especially with groups.....which meant for a very noisy night for us dining as a couple, The portions are huge and everything we ordered came with chips, including our 'Revueltos (scrambled egg) con Chorizo' which we shared as a starter but would have made a better choice for a main course.....Sausage, Chips & Egg! The mains of Swordfish & Lamb Chops cooked 'al plancha' were both quite oily & along with more chips a cholesterol nightmare. Choose from the menu carefully and make sure you know what it comes with.

We had a delicious tapas lunch the day after Christmas. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly to our party of five adults and five children - none of whom speak much Spanish. The food was all very tasty, and was served at a perfect pace. The prices were reasonable. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Family restaurant traditional cuisine with creative touches , homemade desserts , wine selected and suitable for almost any budget , Diners Hermanos Carrasco simplicity with Quality Assurance
Eating out is very subjective, like admiring paintings, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But one thing I will guarantee - you won't be dissappointed.
The decor is delightful and very chic. Some may say overstated but the contrasts and detail is exceptional, whatevere your taste.
The place is run by 3 brothers I believe and one of them served us. Presentation and Delivery was very good. Food was the best I have eaten so far in Jerez and each dish is a work of art. You watch the chef's in a video portfolio running on two TV screens set high and secluded away from the clients.
I could not fault anything to be honest. It's rare that all the ingredients for a good dinner out - come together. This is one of them.
Parking is reasonable.
Very busy place indeed after 9pm.
If in Jerez, this is essential to visit.

Tucked away near the statue of the riders at the horse fair this restaurant has a rather unassuming entrance, but opens out into a large space and nice covered Terrace. The kitchen is visible through large windows.
The food was all great. Very authentic Spanish dishes. There was no problem mixing tapas and main courses. The highlight was the raw red tuna salad which was served in a tower on a bed of salsa and avocado. It was superb.
For English tastes we were less keen on the "haddock chins peri peri", but it was interesting to try something very different (health warning - the chilli is separate from the fish and packs a massive punch!). Ham was very good.
The whole atmosphere was very friendly, not busy on a Saturday night out of season so tables were available without booking. It really felt as if the staff had an interest and love of this type of food and were very keen that the customers had a good experience.
Highly recommended if you are interested in authentic Spanish food.

We have eaten many seafood during our trip in Andalusia, but this one will be surely remembered! First of all, it's located in a very residential area and that might surprise you like we were. Secondly, it doesn't open before 13:20 but we got drinks on the sunny Terrace so it was okay. Then the food, well, it's really fresh and we loved all! The 2 that we'll remember for sure were the red giant prawns and the almejas deal casa prepared with onions and garlic. Also the fried chunks of fish were excellent. And with some ice cold beers and a very reasonable bill and many friendly and smiley faces of waiters, we'll recommend this place to all seafood lovers!

We've been here a couple of times and always eat early before it gets full later on, which it always does.
I like the fact the food tastes home made rather than a mass produced chain restaurant.
We had some tacos with guacamole to start followed by fajitas and a Spanish Mexican dish I had never heard of before, both were very good.
It is also good value for money, ours was less than €30 obviously without alcohol
The manager/waiter is always friendly and provides assistance with the Spanish/ English conversion
