This restaurant has been remodeled since my last visit several years ago and it looks very nice with hardwood floors and sound deadening panels in the ceiling. This is Spargle season so everything comes with white asparagus, which is excellent. I had the Pike-Perch which wasn't perch at all but it tasted good. Probably just lost in translation. I also had the special mustard soup which was zuper!
I bet in the summer when you can eat outside this place is really nice.
You will be happy here.

Ganz im Gegenteil, was will man mehr.

This is an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant offering Thai and Indoensian cuisine. There is so much choice - pork, duck, chicken, beef, seafood, vegetarian, Deserts etc. - and it is impossible to sample all the dishes. The price is unbeatable. Reserve early and in any case because the place is very popular. I can only highly recommend this restaurant.

I was in Dortmund for business and was commenting that I could not find any German restaurants. The place I was visiting took us to this restaurant, which seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. You access the place by going down a narrow tree lined road as it is situated in a forest. I am not fluent in German, but I gathered that they served game from the surrounding woods and had a lake on the premises and footpaths. The food was excellent as well as the service. Truly homemade food that was traditional German cuisine. I loved my veal and my associated had salmon that was well prepared. There was a beef soup for an appetizer that was just spicy enough to be tantalizing to the palate. I hope to go back again to try other items on the menu. Note that Thursday is game night and they had deer and boar as I recall. There were others, but I do not recall what they were. Local beer and just fresh, wholesome, hoe-cooked food- what better can you get? Their website is www.jaghaus-im-kuehl.de if you need more information. They have outside Seating in the summer time and the décor is kind of alpine hunting lodge if I had to guess. The nice touch was the real fireplace that made the room nice and warm and cozy.

Visited this restaurant 25.03.15 on a business trip as it was the TA No1 in this area and it was within walking distance of our hotel.
The staff were very friendly and we felt very welcome.
Service was excellent and the courses were served promptly.
The quality of the food was excellent and the flavours of the lamb platter dish I ordered were stunning.
The meal was also very good value.
I would definitely return to the restaurant the next time I visit this area.

Maharaja is a great place to go for well prepared and tasty Indian food. The meal began with papadam- crispy, paper thin lentil "crackers".
The mango lassi is fantastic. The red lentil soup was very good, nicely seasoned.
I ordered the Maharaja Grill plate #1 with tandoori chicken, chicken tikka and lamb strips.
It was all very well prepared, tender and nicely spiced. I read that glutamate is not used, which is a bonus. They have a nice selection of vegetarian dishes.
Our servers were very courteous and friendly. Don't forget to get a few fennel/anise seeds on the way out.
I highly recommend Maharaja to anyone in the area.

If you ever need to stop by in Iserlohn, you should definitely try out Onkel Dimos. A place where all the locals go to. It's cheap and really tasty. The main thing to order is of course sandwiches and I am not talking small subway sandwiches, but huge filled with stuff and at the same time delicious, sandwiches. Beyond that you can get their lovely choice of Pizzas and salads, all amazing too.
It isn't one of those fancy restaurants to sit in for an hour, but rather a food filling factory which every one ought to visit in Iserlohn. The atmosphere isn't one of a "michelin" restaurant, but you can just take away, the food is worth it!

Family atmosphere, nice outside yard. The pizza dough is my favorite. Trying the new super spicy peppers and the traditional premium olive oil is a must do!
