Great service, good ambience, interesting food - we really enjoyed our meal here - from the (essentially) ham for entree, superb gnocchi and very well cooked steak. Highly recommend if you are looking for something apart from the standard 'Qld fare' more often on offer in Brisbane.

1889 Enoteca is part of the heritage listed Moreton Rubber Works building (circa 1889) located in the antique quarter of Woolloongabba. We have incorporated a restaurant & wine bar along with a basement level cellar for private dining & functions for up to 42 people.We offer traditional Roman fare which is made to be enjoyed in our relaxed but sophisticated setting. Our menu showcases the freshest produce available & the pasta & bread that we offer is and made by our chefs on a daily basis which is testament to our commitment to quality.Our wine list is an encyclopedia of artisan producers with a particular focus on natural winemakers. Natural winemaking involves using indigenous yeasts, minimal (if any) chemicals & little technological intervention. Many of these wines are organic, biodynamic & have been picked personally by the owners who have visited the vineyards. Our wines have a story!

I was totally ignorant of this venue and the quant new Gabba precinct. It really caught me by surprise as I hadn’t been there for many years. My bad...
However, during the week I attended a very special corporate sponsors dinner downstairs in the cellar room and the overall experience, ambience, food and service from the staff was exceptional.
I don’t really want to go in and describe / review all the dishes but if you’ve been any where in Italy before, and you want a similar or Better experience, then make a booking.
My wife loves quality Italian cuisine, so we have already made a booking.
It’s a quality experience.
Very much looking forward to it.

Had the breakfast buffet on the second day of a business trip. Fantastic range of options, with the option of made to order eggs. I ordered some poached eggs which came out perfect! Fresh juice, flavoured milk, and made to order coffee available. Plenty of hot dishes to chose from, only minor issue was not a great range of pastries to select from.
Would highly recommend if staying at the Rydges having breakfast here at least one morning.

We love nothing more than sitting in a busy Chinese Restaurant with a Jasmine Tea and picking from the wonderful assortment of steamers on trolleys as they pass by the table. I never expected to find this authentic experience outside a Chinatown precinct let alone in a Shopping Mall at Indooroopilly - but we did! Loved the various dumplings, sesame balls and dim sims. There is the option to make 'Special Orders' of BBQ Roast Duck and other delicacies which we did and the Duck was just perfect. Will be back for sure.

I've been looking for a new regular for aaaages and nothing has been up to scratch... until now. I'm so happy to have found this place. It's got everything - great menu, REALLY GOOD FOOD, good presentation, large portions, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Pricing is a little high on some items but the specials are well priced. Menu is large and a bit eclectic, but eveything we ordered was superb. I have been looking for a place to bring friends for lazy weekend breakfasts/ lunches and this is it. Looking forward to my next visit!

This is a luxurious restaurant for serious meat lovers! Elegance setting and well laid tables, professional staff guiding you to the right meal for you and complementing wines. We celebrated a special occasion and the staff had pre-arranged flowers on the table. Fantastic service. This is one of a kind restaurant to remember- and to return to! Bookings essential!

First of all I will confess I cannot eat ice cream but visited here with family and friends....13 of us!! The children had so much fun watching the friendly staff making the ice cream....nearly as much fun as eating it!! My husband had an old fashioned ice cream soda which he said was delicious and everyone had different flavours and combinations and enjoyed taste testing everyone's creations....all in all the verdict was 'When can we come back!' Even the changing colours of the Seating cubes was a hit!

I have been a number of times for coffee but this was the first time for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast wrap with mushrooms and without the sauce. It was delicious and highly recommend it! The wait staff are always friendly and helpful. The cafe has large windows at the back with a beautiful view of the parkland.
