If you like pies and you have never tasted a Brazilian Empada then you haven't lived. Quiet simply the best pastry in the world! My favorite is the Empada de Camarão accompanied by the house Molho de Pimenta (prawn pie with chilli sauce) but there are lots to choose from. There are savoury and sweet choices to you can really have a very nice light lunch just sitting on the Terrace eating from the take away service area.
There is also a restaurant attached for bigger meals but to be honest we have never managed to get that far. The empadas come first! Whenever we visit Brazil and are en route to Itacaré we never fail to stop here.

This is our favorite place to go after Concerts or just for a late night meal. The grilled meat and fried mantioc are fantastic and tastes just that much better when you have already been having fun. It can get crowded and street people will sometimes bother you at your table, but it is a safe spot and the staff is great.

The Restaurant is 10 meters to the beach. Does have enough place for kids to play for hours and hours... very good. Service, Food and Beverage Quality was ok .... typical (good) Bahiana Restaurant on a sympatic, clean (!) big plot of land (no noise of cars etc)...great !

This thematic restaurant shows a great deal of the cacao bonanza and male extravagant dreams about women and adventure, both as portrayed by the creative mind of Jorge Amado, as well as what historical narrative registers in its photographic and furniture display, making it a museum-like restaurant. My first visit, I really recommend it more for the setting than for the food. Enjoy the atmosphere, have a drink and admire what may have been the days of cacao barons!

Very nice pizza even for an italian pizza lover like myself!
the nicest thing is that you don't need to order or wait in special days when waiters keep on serving clients with different sort of pizzas, very good! When you say it's enough, they bring you sweet pizzas, one with chocholate and one with bananas, the last one is a real delicious experience

It can be frustrating as a traveler to find restaurants that serve authentic home cooking. Here you will find a limited menu of the real deal: feijoada (of course); mau de vacate (mocoto); sarapatel; moqueca de peixe; rabada (Thursday only) and a few others. Each dish will likely be the best version you will find anywhere unless you are visiting a family that employs one of the best cooks in town. The place is very friendly and unpretentious. The prices are totally reasonable. Beware, it closes at 4:00pm so go for lunch.

We went for a walk and we found this great place. We ordered sururu caldo ( it is a kind of soup) which was not the best, and we also ordered Carne de sol with casava and haloumi cheese, which was amazing very tasteful and well served..
The service was also great..
Definitely come back..
