The "Bar le Central" is located in the central area of the Magdalen Islands, Cap-aux-Meules, on the main street. It is open all year long and there is an appreciated terrasse during summer. On saturday nights or special occasions there is a band playing and CD music the rest of the year. It is a cozy, decontracted place where you can enjoy good coffee or drinks. Good choices of beers, local or imported. Be aware that the wine is not very good but the coffee and the other drinks are tasteful :) Service is excellent and staff as well as usual guests are pleasant. There is a little fish shop just beside it, make sure to try their take-out food to make the experience complete ! Very busy on fridays between 5 pm and 7 pm, but enjoyable all week long. Good place to meet locals as well as travelers. Prices are the same than everywhere else, I would say average. I woud recommand it :)

"Chez Armand" restaurant and take-out, former "Casse-croûte aux Écores" is a well established restaurant in the heart of the charming village of Les Caps. It is a great place to meet locals that go there to eat for lunch on work-days, or supper. If it is on the menu "du jour", try their salt meat diner ! They usually open around Easter and close late in the fall ; it isn't open during winter. If you go there during the evening, you'll be able to have the view on the Sunset.
The menu is what you'll expect in a fast-food and family restaurant : poutines, club sandwiches, subs, spaghettis, cesar salads, etc. They also have a seafood menue. Nothing fancy, but you can eat for about 15$-20$. In the recent years the prices went up a bit and the quantity of food lowered, but quality is pretty much the same. I wouldn't say it's healthy food, but you can say it is comfort food.
Their lobster clubs are very good, as well as their trio with steak subs.

My partner and I had a wonderful dinner here one evening during our visit to Les Iles. The ambiance was very nice, and the service was very attentive and friendly. The food, similarly, was terrific. We weren't disappointed to say the least. Highly recommended. Luckily, we were able to get a table, even though we didn't have Reservations.

If you've got an appetite, and are looking for some great diner-type food, Decker Boy is the place for you. Outstanding pizza, delicious fried chicken and more. Try their poutine, as well. The breakfast menu also draws a lot of nods.

2 mama burgers for $5. Filled the gap until dinner later in the night. Staff were friendly. Restaurant was clean.

This is a bakery offering a range of bread products and dessert baking, as well as a deli counter with locally made cheeses (and cheeses "from away") and cured meats. They also offer sandwiches, sushi, salads, and other foods for lunch, which you can take away or eat-in (there is a small indoor eating area and a covered patio).
We ate lunch here a couple of times; the sushi was very fresh and flavourful, the croissants were perfectly flaky and buttery. The desserts were delicious. We also bought buns, bread, and cheese to take with us for lunch on the road. All good.
This is very conveniently located just off the main drag in Cap-aux-Meules, for any day-trip you may be making anywhere on the Islands, or to pick something up before the ferry.
