Hove /hoʊv/ is a town in East Sussex, England, immediately west of its larger neighbour Brighton, with which it forms the unitary authority Brighton and Hove. It forms a single conurbation with Brighton and some smaller towns and villages running along the coast. As part of local government reform, Brighton and Hove were merged, to form the borough of Brighton and Hove in 1997. In 2001, the new borough officially attained city status.

In Norfolk Square, The Gingerman Restaurant has a small, intimate dining room and a superb menu of modern British cuisine made with fresh, local produce. Full of unique character, the stylish restaurant possesses a great reputation within the city. With intimate lighting and simple wooden furnishings, this Brighton eatery has a warm, cosy ambience. The delicious dishes from the seasonal gourmet menu include slow roasted pork belly with creamy mash, cumin spiced lamb rack with black cardamom puree and coconut chutney or pig cheek ravioli with saffron jus. A classy list of wines and premium champagnes will complement your meal. Gingerman restaurant offers smart, unpretentious dining in vibrant Brighton.
The food was absolutely amazing. We both had the taster menu and were extremely impressed. The service and timing of each course was first class.
A truly enjoyable experience. Would definitely return.
I would have given 5* but the restaurant was not at all intimate and in fact there are so many tables squeezed into a small area that the noise is a little overpowering. Unless you shout you cannot be heard across the table.

Valentine's date with my hubby. Lovely warm friendly greeting at the door, showed us to our table, gave us menu and water for the table. Order taken quickly and efficiently and drinks promptly served. Good choice on menu, food came quickly and was of good portion size. Staff well presented and eager to see to their customers every requirement, great tasting meal, only downside no baklava this time but won't mark them down for that! We will dine here again for sure, lovely atmosphere and hosts, might try lunch next time. Thanks all.

Mediterraneo Deli is a slice of Sicily specialising in regional Sicilian food. Restaurant by night, they also enjoy catering for all events, from lunch meetings to dinner parties and weddings. Friday & Saturday evenings, by reservation only.
I cannot say enough for this place, it is absolutely lovely, one of the most friendly, welcoming restaurants I've been to with delicious home cooked food. I am allergic to garlic and onion and made Giorgio aware of this beforehand. In preparation his wife had prepared a portion of every single option without these ingredients so I could choose anything off the menu! The food was all cooked by his wife, beautifully presented, unique and full of fantastic flavours. I had a starter but my friend didn't order one, but Giorgio brought out a tiny plate with an aubergine roll to sample for free. He also called everyone by their name which gave it a personal touch. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
I will be returning if I visit Brighton again!
Thank you Giorgio and your wife!

Best and oldest Malay/Indonesian restaurant in Brighton
Booked this very last minute for valentines. It’s like being on a ship or something but it’s great. Didn’t realise it was a set menu, and panicked a bit Reading it as I’ve never eaten this cuisine....and I ate every dish. Fantastic food, curious but brilliant setting and a spirit collection most bars would be jealous of!

Our favourite go to Chinese restaurant. Their set menu is ideal for trying all sorts of tasty food; it is NOT watery, tasteless, bland etc. Yes, the food is fresh, AND bursting with flavour, including our favourites, mixed hors d'oeuvres, crispy chilli beef, duck with pancakes etc, even the plain noodles with beansprouts is really tasty. Whenever we visit with friends, which we did yesterday, we are very well looked after, are allowed to relax, take our time and have splendid food. Thoroughly recommended.

'The Little Fish Market is a 20 cover Fish Restaurant. We serve solely a 5 course Taster menu of exciting modern fish dishes. The restaurant holds 3AA rosettes for culinary excellence the only restaurant in East Sussex to hold this sort after accolade.
A bit off Western road down by the old Hove market in an end of Terrace, very unassuming. Small, about 20 covers I think, run by 2 guys, one front of house one int eh kitchen, excellent service, friendly, welcoming and very informative. The menu, well the chef decides, its a fixed tasting menu - it is all fish (no exceptions), so if you don't eat fish, don't go, if you then go. of course it cost a bit more, but the food is divine a real treat, menu decided by whats been caught that day, and you will be treated ( and it is a real treat) to about 5 dishes, each superbly cooked and presented with delicate flavours.

Myself and a few friends decided that try this nice little shop because we heard the burgers were fantastic. We weren’t let down.
They have a nice selection of meat, chicken and vegetarian burgers. The buns are incredible and the burgers were very well put together. The wooden short skewers keep the burgers together very well whilst you eat them. All the options are very well balanced and have complementing flavours.
I was very happy with my Vegetarian Special, and found the taste of friends’ meat burgers very tasty also. They were filling but not overwhelming or too heavy.
They store has a simply yet cool vibe, and they guy serving us was quite pleasant.
I highly recommend coming here and either eating in, if you can find a seat, or taking it away to a park on a nice day.
All the packaging seemed biodegradable which I like.
I hope to revisit again soon

At Franco’s Osteria, we keep true to the soul of Italian Osterias, whilst providing a contemporary drinking and dining experience. We provide a large selection of regional speciality wines from around Italy in a small, rustic and authentic setting. Alongside the wines, our seasonally changing set menu is designed to be shared amongst the table in a traditional, rustic, family style. We take influences from all over Italy, using local, seasonal ingredients, whilst also importing fine Italian speciality products .
This is a must try for any foodie..... The atmosphere & service was excellent. The menu was small with fresh quality produce & very authentic. My half Italian girlfriend thought she was back in Italy & we would definitely go back again.
