The Black Rock Grill, a new, stylish and contemporary restaurant overlooking the Norfolk coast. The Black Rock Grill offers a unique dining experience to those wishing to try something new, exciting and a little bit different. Our fixed price experience offers a delicious choice of satisfying starters, indulgent desserts and of course the unique Black Rock Main Course; a selection of the freshest fillets, seafood and shellfish are presented to your table along with your own volcanic ‘Hot Rock’ on which you cook the ingredients exactly to your own taste. No oils or fats are used, which makes the food both incredibly tasty and extremely healthy.
First time we’ve been the meal was really tasty and plenty of it great starters and lovely Deserts sticky toffee pudding fab , the main course you can have as much as you like and you cook it to your own liking . Service was fantastic and very friendly thanks to our hard working Dan . Would defiantly recommend and will go back . The only down side is that the smell stays on your clothes and hair but worth it .

Dear Customers, the restaurant will be closed from 30th July until 31st August. We apologise if you had already made plans to visit us, but don't worry, we'll back. We wish you all relaxing summer!!! <br>Ferailles Shop remains open though, so feel free to come in!
Angelo and the team never fail to produce. The food is top notch and the homemade desserts are to die for.
Love the olives and rustic bread!!! The theme nights are great value and the entertainment is top class. Situated beside the river it’s in a lovely location and great for coffee and a catch up with friends or an full on evening meal. The food is authentic Mediterranean and we’ll continue to go back. Can get busy so if you’re planning a visit be prepared to wait for a table.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at the Pier Hotel for the wonderful way we were looked after for the funeral party for my mother recently. I can honestly say it is the best 'wake' I have been to, and that is not a few. The designated area we were given was just perfect, the staff were kind and courteous and very attentive to our needs and the food was absolutely superb and there was a generous amount of it. The folk who stayed in the hotel overnight all said what beautiful rooms they had and that the breakfasts were excellent. We really could not have asked for anything more and are so glad we chose 'The Pier' - which was actually Mum's choice as she and we, too, have eaten here in the past and thoroughly enjoyed the varied and excellent menu. Thank you again to all who looked after us - you did us proud.

We have loved this place, been coming here for years and couldn't recommend it highly enough but over the last few months, we have noticed a definite downward trend and we are finally going to admit defeat and not visit again. Perhaps they have taken on too much in the kitchens trying to offer Sunday lunch as well but the quality and service has been sadly lacking on our last few visits. The final straw was a visit this weekend and we ordered Eggs Benedict, one with ham and one with Salmon, we waited a long time for this which we were surprised as at the time, they were not full but we didn't mind, a lovely day, read the papers. However, when it finally arrived it was a disaster for both of us. My husband was drown in sauce and I hardly had any, the muffins were terrible and all four eggs were completely hard boiled, not just overcooked but solid hard boiled. By this time all the tables had become full and we couldn't get the attention of anyone so we decided just to make do and not return. We are not really local and its a 50 mile round trip for us but we never minded as always knew we would have lovely food and good service but it really has changed so it is with great regret that we will not be visiting JayJays again

Not our first visit, but as delightful as always .attentive waitress service happy to explain the variety of gins on offer. We all plumped for the risotto , which was sublime, clean and fresh tasting . It was thoroughly enjoyed by all , looking forward to our next visit ,hopefully quite soon.

We are a good local friendly pub with a wide range of beers, ciders, spirits, wine and soft drinks, There is a separate dining area where we offer a wide variety of meals from Sandwiches, Baguettes, Jacket Potato's, Burgers, Steaks as well as all the good old pub classics like Chilli, Lasagne, Fish, we also have a children's menu available. Having recently changed management there is improvements being done constantly so pop in and give us a look where a warm friendly welcome awaits you.
Saturday night and a party of 7 decides to try some local fare. On arrival we found a table and I tried in vain to find some menus. No problem lets ask the landlady, "Yes?" she said rather curtly.
"Could I have some menus please?"
"What?" Sharply.
"You know, menus; we'd like to eat please."
"They're everywhere if you look." Dismissively. "Besides, we've just had a large order, so you'll have to wait at least 45 minutes." Triumphantly.
My friend and I looked at each other. There were no menus to be seen and the number of people in the bar could only be described as sparse. We were given the impression that we just weren't welcome, so we left and ended up spending over £200 elsewhere.
It's right on the doorstep of a huge holiday park - it should be a Gold Mine not a tombstone.

This restaurant was formerly called Lazzarellas for which there are several Reviews existing - see the list as I informed you at the end of last year it would be closing. The new owners have improved everything. New decorations, new menu and crockery etc.
The December menu is fabulous, the Courtyard prove you can be festive with a refreshing twist . Makes for a lovely change from most boring festive menus elsewhere. I can certainly vouch for the food, wine and impeccable service as always . merry Christmas indeed !

We visited as a family of 4 for a Sunday Carvery, the area was very relaxing with low level music playing, we felt that the restaurant was very spacious with nobody else hovering on your personal space, the service was excellent and the carvery was the best we have had in the the local area, I would highly reccomend, we has a 15:30pm booking.
