Holten (Dutch Low Saxon: Hooltn) is a small village in the municipality of Rijssen-Holten in the Dutch province of Overijssel, with approximately 10,000 inhabitants. Holten is located in a forested area just south of the Holterberg, a 65-metre (210 ft) hill, and is part of the "Sallandse Heuvelrug" National Park. The National Park is the only area in the Netherlands in which the black grouse (in Dutch: korhoen) can be found. This grouse population is on the brink of extinction, so parts of the National Park are closed to the public during its breeding season.

A welcoming restaurant and bar with exceptional pizza. The staff treated me like a VIP during my charity walk across Europe #leedstopoznan. Stay late and meet the locals! Super place!

This restaurant is on a hill a little bit outside the village Holten. The accomadation is very informal like a warm house. Specially when it is cold outside the sphere inside is very warm. In summer time there is aspacious Terrace with a nice vieuw down side the hill. The kitchen is of a good quality and a very reasonable price/quality relation.

Very good food for a reasonable price (3 courses for under €40) and great service as well. Good choice between restaurant Seating area, more formal bistro and also outside. There are two menus, with a cheaper option of €27,50 for a 3 course dinner...also good quality but simpler.

You wouldn't come here if you don't know it. But if you have tried it, And you are back in this area, you'll probably stop here again!
As starter we had a very Dutch bread+garlic butter and mushroom sauce.
As main course I ordered meat. As usual I asked it to be extremely raw. The waiter jocked: "you want the animal still moving on the plate?". He got it!
It is rare, very rare, that in a restaurant they are able to cook the meat as I ask. It was excellent!
The dessert, if possible, was even better. Ask for the icecream cup, Trust me!

Markelo has not much to offer as far as good food is concerned. Welcome exception to this poor conclusion is il campanile, where proud Italians honour their country by serving delicious Italian food. Apart from the crispy pizza's and pasta's, there is much to enjoy of other Italian specialties, always prepared with fresh ingredients. Recommendable is the fixed menu, daily offered at a fair price. And the winecard is good enough to satisfy "connaisseurs". Living nereby, my wife and I love to visit this restaurant on a regular base.

Met met elektrische auto moest ik eventjes opladen. Fijn dat dat hier jan met een snellader. De parkeerplaatsen zijn wel wat krap en de kabels kort. Ondertussen een kopje koffie. La Place is prima. De rest van het gebouw een beetje 'armetierig'. Koffie en bediening prima. Niet echt gezellige omgeving.

This is the kind of place you'll get a no nonsense meal. It's good food, well prepared and in line with the local surroudings: they serve a lot of game dishes. We had a great evening, with helpfull staff, and we had our desert near the fireplace. If you're in the area, worth checking this place out.

On our way home there was a big traffic accident so the police shut down the highway. Since it was dinnertime we decided to look for a place to eat and found this very nice place. Very childfriendly, the even had a playcorner for the little ones so our grandson could play in between the dishes. Forvour grandson they had a three or two course meal for a reasonable price and with about 5 maincourses to choose from
I wasn't that hungry so I ordered the thai beef salad, which was a little spicy and very tasty. My hubby had the peanutsoup with chicken, followed by a nice steak. Our daughter the bouillebaise followed by a nice fishdish. And the little one enjoyed a nice tomatosoup a friendly faced pancake and a very nice special icecream in a bunny.
They also let him choose a little present at the end.
Iff we are in the neighbourhood again we will stop over again, good place, good food at reasonable prices and very friendly staff

The restaurant is located in the street parallel to the main shopping street between the two public squares. Although it has been opened more than 35 years ago, the restaurant is quite modern thanks to recent renovations.
We had dinner there with 7 friends. Before we sat down at the table, we were offered to have an aperitif in the Seating area with a fireplace. There are also two outside areas. The staff is professional and friendly.
A special feature of this restaurant is that they sell one liter bottles of water for just one euro and they even donate this amount to charity! Food and wine were great and for the price we paid we all said it is very good value for money.

My husband and I have been living in Rijssen (a little city in the east of the Netherlands) for just over 4 months now. We have been looking for a nice restaurant to go to whenever we have something to celebrate or to treat ourselves. This past weekend we tried Buena Vista and wow! What a lovely discovery!! We walked in to find a restaurant nearly packed to the brim but the waiting staff found us a table and promptly brought us there. We had a look at their menus and they have a really wide variety of dishes and drinks. We ordered drinks and a tapas to start with. Despite it taking a bit long to arrive, it was delicious (we had chicken bites with honey mustard sauce)! We decided then and there that we'll be back to have only tapas. We both ordered a pork dish as a main and we had it infront of us in no time! It was absolutely lovely. It had enough sauce, wasn't dry at all, it had some veggies on the plate and there was a side order of fries and salad. After all that delicious food, we decided to have dessert. My husband had tiramisu and I had creme brulee with ice cream. I didn't want the ice cream as mentioned on the menu and it was no problem at all to have it substituted by a different flavour. The creme brulee was bit of a let-down but I thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream. All in all it was a wonderful dinner and night out. They service was good and the atmosphere very relaxed. One little negative was that the music was a little too loud which prompted everyone to speak louder and the lights were too dim (my husband couldn't read the small print on the menu). Buena Vista also has a party hall which is directly adjacent to the restaurant but this was no problem as we never heard any loud noises or rowdy behavior. I would definitely visit this restaurant again but think that next time we'll reserve a table to avoid disappointment (I consider us lucky that we got a table so quickly this time).
