Flamingos and pelicans and herons…oh my! Holbox Island is beloved by bird nerds for its population of exotic avian life. Perched near the Yucatan Peninsula, the island is also a hot spot for whale shark viewing, and kiteboarders love the shallow waters and wide beaches. The white sand streets are relatively unspoiled, as most tourists prefer to party it up in nearby Cancun. A splash in Yalahao Lagoon is about as loco as it gets.

Had the pleasure of dining here for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and can't say enough about the service and setting - Victor, Enrique, Randy and Francisco were always attentive and friendly, every Seating a pleasure. The fish ceviche was absolutely the best we have ever had, like a Thai Larb salad but with delicious, firm fish. Other highlights were the guacamole, the beautiful setting for breakfast, and the drinks, drinks, drinks. Highly recommend, but don't let the secret out to just anyone...

El Sushi de Holbox is the best asiatic restaurant in the Island. Our starter, fresh tuna tiradito won the first price on the holbox gastronomic awards. The Terrace has a wonderful atmosphere as it is hidden from the noise of the street. Come and enjoy of our chefs rolls as sakana roll, niguiris or just a delicious margarita!
Let’s start with the waitress that “cleaned” the table with a scuzzy and stinky rag! My boyfriend ordered rise with vegetables and shrimps that turned to be rise with tons of onions, a couple of zucchini and 3 shrimps!!! Inedible!!
On the menu THERE IS NOT A VEGETARIAN OPTION so I asked if it was possible to have a vegetarian roll without fish. The waitress said that it was ok and ask me “which kind of rolls I wanted”. I said that I didn’t really care, that it was enough to have some vegetables inside. At the end they came with some maki rolls that were as big as a 2 € coin, full of cream cheese and with some, tiny, invisible pieces of cucumber and avocado. At the end we spent almost 500 pesos (almost 30 dollars) because they charged me the maki as if I had the ones with salmon and shrimps.
I made it notice to the waitress but nothing changed!
Horrible food, terrible service and awful attitude! Never again!

We went here for quick lunch while out walking one day.
The food we ordered was all very good, lobster tacos, and
fish tacos. The margarita I had was a traditional margarita.
Lime juice, a little orange, and lot of Tequila, just the way I
like them.

Casa Nostra Roof Restaurant is a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant with a hint of Caribe. A pleasant mix of two islander's culinary cultures ( Sicily and Holbox) able to tantalize the most demanding taste buds.
Mainly on the basis of trip advisor comments we tried this restaurant. The ambience is nothing to write home about and we felt the food was rather dry and needed seasoning and flavouring.

Good food on the beach, in informal setting. A little bit pricy, but I think the food is worth it. Service was good, salad dish huge, so I had to share it with my wife and the rest of our meals also very recommendable.Hello Herbert Thank you for your review, we are happy to give the best food and service to our clients Warm regards :)

Visited here two times, never dissapointed staff is friendly, service is smooth and fast. Atmosphere is nice and cosy, though the restaurant located beside busy street in heart of town. Portions big enough, foodstuff fresh and clean. Everything tested was good or even better. Good mexican and spanish food with Reasonable prize. Absolutely value of your money.
Tested:
-spanish tortilla
-guacamole (portion includes tortillachips

Sensations, Express, Flavors, Aromas, Play, Friendship, Talk, Have fun, Enjoy, too many words... Just come to visit us
We really looked forward to re-visiting one of our favorite dinner spots from last year. Unfortunately, we didn’t have an equally pleasant experience. The lovely large rooftop patio we had previously eaten on the second story now has new construction, so we were up higher without a view, and the wind was really strong. Our biggest complaint was that the pasta was cold when it was served. It was all tasty but not exceptional. Wish I could’ve given a better review.

We arrived here as it was one of the better ranked restaurants in Holbox, savoring some delicious Lobsters we had seen in the reviews. First off we were travelling with our one year old baby. The restaurant is not really kid friendly, mostly caters to couples and older folks. We didn't quite enjoy ourselves, felt the service was friendly but off, and lastly the lobsters we ordered were ok but not great.
Would definitely not try again.

We loved Rosa Mexicano! You could just order the Watermelon Martini and leave and you'd still think it was excellent!
We had an appetizer, two entrees and two desserts and everything was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. The service - both the waiter and the bartender - were just great as well.
We are looking forward to returning to Holbox next year and this is definitely one of the restaurants we will visit again.
