The inside of the restaurant isn't all that nice but the patio is great--sitting out in/near Gallusplatz. The food is very good quality and the service is excellent. Prices reflect that. We shared a salad and a main course and they added CHF 13 to our bill which I had mixed feelings about. They did split it for us into nice portions (which we didn't really ask for) and the presentation was very nice. In any case, I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a very nice Swiss dining experience.

I, along with customers, were taken to this restaurant for a midweek lunch. For a midweek it was very busy and after eating here I could understand why. The food was very well presented and of a very high standard. If I was in the region again I would not hesitate to go back

The restaurant staff is not very professional and seems rude at times. Additionally they fill the floor with too many tables, so that you are sitting elbow to elbow with strangers. The menu is not original at all and the food is overpriced.

This restaurant is wonderful! Food was absolutely delicious, and I was extremely impressed with the service, friendly and happy staff. Husband and I ate here for lunch and I can't wait to try it for dinner sometime!

Very Nice place, the people are very friendly and they speak english. The Appenzeller specialities like the Appenzeller Rosti is just the best.
Also the Cordon Bleu is very good. They have small portion plates as well and fitness teller.
I recommend everyone to go there.

Just like 90% of Italian restaurants outside Italy, this place would close in 3 months if located anywhere in Italy.
I tried a vegetarian pizza and I found on it quite a few things that I've honestly never seen on an authentic Italian pizza, like broccoli and spinach, while none of the regular veggie items where present (onions, peppers, eggplants).
Also, I'd be curious to know what kind of yeast has been used to get a pasta so little leavened.
My colleague went for some kind of factory-made tortelli which were swimming in a super-liquid panna. He didn't complain though.
But luckily I found something really Italian: when some friends of the owner arrived for dinner (around 15 minutes later than me), they got the best table and received their pizza right away, while I was still waiting for mine.
I won't talk about the price: my pay is in Euros so I'm a bit sensitive about this topic.
No wifi available, just in case.

Schloss Oberberg is a fantastic experience. The schloss is absolutely wonderful. So full of character. It's amazing. The atmosphere and ambiance was superb. Service and food quality was outstanding. In fact, the service we had was truly first class. English was spoken very well and english menus were available. I would recommend this restaurant for those special occasions once or twice a year. We had our meal in the upstairs dining room that had an absolutely fantastic view. i cannot fault anything at all about the restaurant, the food, the service. It was a really fantastic experience. I can't comment about the cost as my company paid for the whole party , so I didn't see the bill, but I expect that it would be expensive.

I was staying at this hotel, I was tired, hot and just wanted something to eat. The menu in English looked interesting but nothing really inspired me. I chose veal with pearl barle. The waiter said that will be a thirty minute wait. That's ok. Bread arrived. Then an amuse Boucher. Wow! I've never had something so visually delightful. Then each piece just exploded in my mouth with different flavours. My mouth was alive. Then the veal. The food on the plate looked like a painting. How could I destroy something so beautiful? Then the taste! Each mouthful was an experience. Eat slowly and enjoy every bite, you will never forget this meal. I am sorry I didn't eat more meals here.
