There is a wide variety of pizzas in this place. We tried a combination of Hawaiian and assorted vegetables. All ingredients tasted fresh, and it felt well done. A giant pizza serves 3 persons. Drinks are simple and this is an area for improvement: the presentation of those drinks disappointed.
The price is right on for their quality.

We happened on this quaint French Restaurant while exploring the countryside of Costa Rica. We found it because they maintain a geocache on their property! Everything on the menu had a French base, but there were lots of options for lighter lunches. The bread was...Morethank's! fantastic visit!!!

We have been to this nice restaurant twice now. Both times we were very satisfied with all phases of the experience. The service was attentive, the food was delicious and arrived promptly and the price was a good value. The first time, we had two other couples along and we traded samples of the fare among us. Tried was the chicken crepe, the ham crepe, the trout and the lomito (me). But first - appetizers. The host recommended the Candalaria Croquettes and onion rings. Both were excellent. Crisply fried in some light oil and without any corrupting flavor. The onion rings were a special that day as we were unable to order them on our next visit. It seems they are served only on week-ends. But the croquettes are aplenty - four to a plate with a rich dipping sauce and priced to give great value. Now back to the main courses; I had the lomito (beef) - while it was not bad, it was not great. This is not unusual in Costa Rica. Two of the culinary deficiencies of Costa Rica are the poor quality of the beef and the blandness of their seasonings. Well, the seasonings are just fine here at the Candeleria but the beef is the beef. It's due to the fact that there are no "feed lots" to "finish", or fatten, the beef in Costa Rica. To some this is a plus, as it results in a leaner product but it does diminish the flavor. All that to say, that the next time I got the chicken crepe and it was fully satisfying. Soon I'll go for the trout - my sample had a wonderful flavor. I think you'll enjoy it all.

Is it worth to add two or even three reviews of the same place? Well, if it deserves it, then of course it is. I can't stop recommending this pizza place as the best you'll find in the area. Their quality of their products versus the price is just unbeatable! Simply put: you'll not find anything better, period. The fact that you can build your own pizza with a list of 20+ ingredients gives you tons of options to not get bored. Tired of a flatbread pizza? Try a panino or a spirali or a pasta. You'll get consistently the same quality every single time. Want something sweet to round up your experience? Try their dolci, one of the most decadent desserts you'll taste. A wide variety of flavors, even when we're talking about pizza-related products make this place a real jewel. Ah! the most important: quality service! They will serve you with a smile get your order as fast as possible in the way you want it or will deliver it to your house within reasonable time. If you haven't done so yet, give them a try. You won't regret it.

El Tigre Vestido & Bar Búho are located up in the hills of Santa Barbara de Heredia. Exquisite breakfasts every morning, replete with freshly brewed organic coffee grown in our farm, for lunch, come and enjoy our Latin Fusion Cuisine, cooked with fresh and organic ingredients. This restaurant is located in this private resort named Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Plantation Resort which is located outside of San Jose City in Costa Rica about 35 to 50 minute drive depending on traffic. Took 11 person group here for lunch and everything experienced in the restaurant was outstanding as in a 5 star quality rating. Coffee plantation operates organic practices and they serve their coffee from beans grown on the plantation in their resort restaurant. They also grow many of their own vegetables which is grown organically and served in the restaurant. This restaurant has a view of the San Jose city area with an overlook since this plantation is in the foothills of the Mountains above the San Jose city.

Just for the name you will think you are entering a great bbq or steakhouse...but don't let the name fool you! This is a Colombian food restaurant. There are Colombian empanadas, arepas, which are very similar to Salvadorean Pupusas.
They also have skewers, ribs and grilled chicken, but is the extend of their "parrillita" (small grill) Hamburgers and Hot Dogs are on their menu with all its variations.
No alcohol is sold here, just coffee, hot chocolate, sodas and natural juices.

I ate here for dinner after a long flight and had their soup and raviolis. Everything was great and you can tell the chef puts a lot of care into the food. Everything tasted very fresh. I also ordered lemonade - it was probably the most unique lemonade I've ever had. It was frozen and blended with fresh mint and mango puree. It was really good and I will have to make it at home when I return. The prices of the food are not cheap, my bill came out to be about $30, but it was really good.

Conveniently locales in the hub of Heredia, Sushi Home is perfect for a nice lunch, an early dinner or a quiet romantic dinner. Good parking within the shopping center. The attention is exceptional, with the servers remembering returning customers. The portions are generous and it is well priced. It has become an obligatory stop for us every time we go somewhere via Heredia. We even go out of our way to visit!

We are a family who owns a restaurant in our house :) We love serving people and our food showcase what we love to eat.
I took a group of friends to Kawah Cafe in Heredia and we had a wonderful evening. The ambiance is so inviting, the menu has lots of great options including salads, pasta and steak. We finished with wonderful Costa Rican coffee.
This is a great place to gather with friends and have an excellent meal.

I visited this restaurant a while ago and I was impressed. Traditional restaurants in Costa Rica are tourist traps where people are ripped off. This one is not. The dishes are affordable and the taste is quite true to the original. I recommend it. Try the Chuletica. As a bonus this restaurant is quite near to the Heredian Museum of Traditional Culture. You may visit it as well.
