I truly enjoyed my 2 1/2 hour excursion. They really matched the perfect horses with each person. We went through beautiful trails where we saw various animals. Then we hiked to the Waterfalls and took a dip in the water. The water was cool but perfect since it was so humid. I highly recommend sunscreen and mosquitoe repellent since you are deep in the Rain Forest. The staff was absolutely amazing, patient and very friendly. I highly recommend this excursion and I booked it through Pikotravel Travel.

Playa Linda

Reviewed By Jolie J - Ottawa, Canada

Beautiful beach but beware that there's a lot of theft here, especially when getting close to late afternoon early evening. While we were enjoying the beach we heard our car alarm go off so we went to check it out and actually saw a young guy inside our car! We ran to our car and when the guy saw us he ran to another car that was waiting for him like an escape car. We got a good look at them and it looked like a mother and son team! Luckily he went through all that trouble for nothing because we didn't leave anything in the car, but he left marks on the car from trying to open it. If this happens to you make sure to still get a police report even if nothing was stolen because the insurance will want it to cover the cost of the repairs. Anyways its a beautiful beach but try to stay close to your car at all times and keep an eye on it.

Carara National Park

Compared to Manuel Antonio park this one was...zero. Manuel Antonio has many mammals, birds and reptiles, this park offers very little in my opinion. The vegetation is quite dense, our afternoon tour was a complete bust. We did not see any creatures except two iguanas and leaf cutter ants. Unless you just like to hike in the heat and humidity, plan your outing at Manuel Antonio instead. Our guide agreed.

From fine art canvases, wood carvings and fine silver jewelry to folk art and hand-made soaps; you'll find a great selection of Costa Rican products (as well as few from other Central American artists). Authentic Boruca Indian masks from Costa Rica and Chorotega Indian Pottery. Beautiful leather bags and local jewelry.

Jaco Beach

Staying at 901S ending the week before Easter. The last three days of our stay we were treated to the festival right outside our Terrace. Beautiful views of the ocean. There are signs by our pool of the rip tides. I kept taking videos of the ocean.
Most people that we see in the surf don’t enter too far. There are always whitecaps. I’d be careful when walking in the shallow water if you are not a good swimmer. Wear walking shoes. Lots of gravel and stones. Saw some people Surfing. Saw others doing a prayer ritual.
We do see cars on the beach. Not sure how you get to park on it.

Neo Fauna

Reviewed By truble25 - Miami, Florida

Upon our arrival, we were met with a very nice, very stoned “tour guide”. Despite his altered state, I have to admit he was very knowledgeable but would often ramble on slowly and wasn’t able to gauge when we were ready to move on to the next exhibit.
He would explain and show us the inhabitants in the cages that were falling apart and thrown together. At one point, he squeezed one of the poor frogs to show us the noises they can make. He also tossed rocks at the Cayman to get it to respond and hiss at us.
Throughout this “tour” he kept repeating how they’re focused on caring for the animals, conservation, and re-releasing many of the animals and the reproduced babies back into the environment.
Unfortunately, I didn’t see the resources or evidence of this activity. Partnered with the way he was treating some of the critters I felt this conflicted with their story.
This was the bummer for me. I didn’t feel the story was true and they are just trying to make some money on a small “makeshift” zoo.
