Most traditional Austrian restaurants have a very similar menu based around meat (don't go here if you are vegetarian) and the Kirchenwirt is no exception although there are a couple of interesting variations and particularly a meat based dish for two and the claim to have the largest Schnitzel in "Ennstal" (however that particular district is defined).
Meals were all freshly cooked and came well presented. Service was efficient and traditionally Austrian and at €55 for dinner for three (including drinks) very reasonably priced.
Overall a good experience, we would come back.

This is a modern and clean cafe/restaurant. You can find variety of organic and original foods to buy or eat. They have healthy options for breakfast and brunch. They have also delicious cakes for calory lovers:)) However, the food served at the restaurant have more customer friendly prices than those at the shelves to sell.

Gemütlichkeit und Genuss aus Tradition In unserem Gasthof trifft "Tradition auf Innovation" Wir legen sehr großen Wert auf unsere Heimat und verwöhnen Sie mit regionalen und saisonalen Gerichten.
Family owned restaurant with first class food and service. It is recommended to visit in the Schladming area (just 10 minutes by car from Planai bergbahnen).

THE FOOD: recommendable. Even me as a local I loved it! Had the "Tischlerei soup" which is a mix of many Austrian soups - very good. As a main I can recommend the Bull ("Schulterscherzel") - it was a very soft meat (cooked for 48hrs). As a desert we had the flower pot which reminded me of Pana Cotta.
THE SERVICE: very friendly and attentive. Waitresses serve in the typical Austrian dress ("Dirndl").
THE VENUE: very pretty. They managed to incorporate modern interior design into the Austrian wooden style.

This hütte is located at the upper end of the lower HofiExpress Cableway and bootom end of the next HofiExpress going up. Provides good quality food, high standard similar to other hütten in the area.

We have been to this family run restaurants with friends during skiing. The place is in a small village, if you happen to be there, this one is practically your only choice:) The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Good local beer from the tap and some local dishes. The fish is fresh from the lake around the restaurant I'd recomend that for a choice. Very reasonable prices as well.
Would go there again, the quality of food is ok, but the place worth a visit.

We came for dinner on saturday evening. The menu is decent selection with some local specialties and seasonal dishes. The portions are decent size. We had really nice waighter that was very patient with our cranky hungry 4yo:-)
We had starter of carpacio which was nice but too thinly cut. The main of spinache dumplings with cheese sauce were delicious and surprisingly full of flavor and light. Overall very nice experience with friendly service. Two starters, two mains and two desserts total of 60 eur.

Good food, the steak toast is particularly impressive and well worth trying. The game ragout is also tasty. Nice clean interior

Staying in Schladming this was a fair taxi ride from our apartment but worth the trip. Very authentic Austrian restaurant filled with locals. A warm welcome and great service followed. We enjoyed the fish and local starters followed by several different venison dishes all delicious with fabulous almond croquettes. Some had the goulash which was equally tasty, filling and well presented ... The only criticism was the main courses arrived almost as we finished our starters with no break ...worth a visit but off the beaten track!!!!!
