Mountain railways and roadways provide access to jet set–popular Gstaad in the southwest region of the Swiss Alps. Three ski areas, heli-skiing, 10 winter sports schools and more than 30 miles of cross-country skiing trails are within reach of this traffic-free resort town, which is also known for its fine dining. A promenade lined with luxury boutiques runs through the town center. Activities are also plentiful in summer, like tennis, golf, hiking and mountaineering.

The food at this restaurant is good but the atmosphere is a bit dull. My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed the asparagus risotto with black truffle. Good service by the wait staff but we both commented that the restaurant has no atmosphere. The restaurant was half full so perhaps it is more lively & fun on busy nights. Too quiet. Perhaps they are trying to appeal to older clientele.

This Italian restaurant is located in the middle of the pedestrian only main street of Gstaad and has been operating for some considerable time now - some 20+ years. Good food and attentive service and perfect to be outside on the Terrace when the sun is out. Decent menu with daily specials and a good wine list. Not inexpensive but nevertheless good value. Definitely worth a visit based on our recent meal there and blankets are available if required to keep you warm. All the dishes we had were very nice although the only negative comment is that the portions served were a little on the small side - OK for lunch perhaps but maybe not at dinner.!!

I recommend this restaurant very highly. We went last week while visiting Gstaad. They offered a choice of seafood that had been caught earlier in the morning and flown in from France. As we live near the ocean in the US, we mostly avoided seafood while inland in Europe, but this was truly fresh! The amuse bouche

This spot is amazing. The panoramic view of the Alps over the Saanenland is breathtaking, especially in the Spring. Family owned and operated with a friendly staff. The food is tasty and well presented. Come hungry! The Terrace is cozy for sunbathing. Good atmosphere, nevertheless, do expect to come across some snobby customers...it is Gstaad, after all.

Our staff prepares a wide variety of delicacies in our hotel kitchen using regional and seasonal products whenever possible. We purchase meats from local farmers or from our butcher shop partners. The majority of our dishes are made in house and free from preservatives and flavour enhancers. We also offer a selection of fine wines to complete your meal.
Beatiful location and surroundings, a perfect place for relaxation, the hotel offered many ammenities. Even though commerce closed on sundays many stores, and places to visit

Yes it is Gstaad, so its expensive, but that being said, the food we had was very average.
Escargots were DELICIOUS - but 2 main courses, super average. A weird ravioli, and a weird something else that wasnt good
Inside it is a typical swiss style restaurant - ski jumping theme ha
Go to 16 Art in Saanen instead

I had lunch at the lobby with friends. The salad was fresh and especially the blue cheese salad sauce is really nice.
Also the fish and chips I had were tasty and fried in tasty oil.
Downside was my orange juice which was very sour. In a place like the Gstaad Palace one would expect a freshly squeezed orange juice.
