Rustic elegant derived from the old mill of the farm Rignana, which was the home of Bishop Scipio Ricci Outside Of the large Terrace that overlooks one of the most beautiful Chianti The wine cellar is managed by the family of Rignana Abbarchini since 1983 and today, as then the dishes are made with fresh seasonal ingredients according to the ancient culinary traditions of Chianti and Tuscany
Do yourself one favour and GO for dinner here. The BEST dining experience we have had our entire Italian trip. The property/patio is breathtaking.
We didn't even need to read the menu as Fabritzio was so attentive and recommended the best items including a delicious wine made from the vines on the property!
This guy is any restauranteur's dream as he knows how to make your evening memorable and isn't trying to upsell you...

Had a reservation for 7:30pm and asked for outside Terrace. We got the last table before going inside. Dishan was our server...very knowledgeable and attentive. Ordered two appetizers and bottle of 2014 Chianti Castellinuzza. Wonderful! Dishan brought us a compliment of cheese. The appetizers were liver on toast and onion pudding...both were fantastic. Very nice plating of foods and tastes. Ordered salads and Rabbit, mushroom risotto, and pear and cheese raviole. All entrees were spectacular. We split the Panacotta with fruit and the tiramisu. Everything was very fresh and delicious .
Dishan really treated us well...brought us some Limoncella for the ending. wonderful meal, on a beauitful patio, overlooking an awesome view. This was quite the treat.

Italian food restaurant specialized in local Tuscan products with the best view in the Chianti region.
This was a fairly large venue with well-spaced out tables. Unfortunately itwas a rainy day, which made most of their outdoor Terrace tables unusable (as there is no protection from the elements). We shared the bistecca fiorentina (steak), which came as a 1.2kg cut, with...MoreThank you very much. It means a lot to us!

A fun, casual, neighborhood restaurant just outside the Greve town center. We visited here two times. The food is very good, inexpensive, one of the best calzones I have ever had. Good wine list representative of the Tuscany and Chianti area, and good, attentive service. The manager recognized us after the first visit and took great care of us. Highly recommended!

Typical restaurant settled in Chianti area, up on the hill of Montefioralle, near the medieval town; you can taste the typical Chianti cuisine in una unique place with a family atmoshere. Our dishes are made with fresh, seasonal hight quality ingredients, following old traditional receipes, with a personal modern touch. Our speciality are: plates with fresh truffle, appetizer with fresh and local meat-cuts (tuscan ham, salami, sausage) and cheeses, hand-made pasta, wildboard, the real Florentine-style steak, hand-made cakes. From our cellery: local Chianti wines from the best farms, red-wines like Brunello, Montepulciano, Chianti Classico, selected wines from all Italy. During the summer you can dine on our Terrace over-looking the wonderful hills.
Our boutique hotel suggested this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We visited on 2 evenings. The family run restaurant is superb with the front of house family friendly with excellent skills. The cooking is delicious. Would highly recommend. Local ingredients only.

Ate here on our last night staying at this amazing hotel. While I recommend not taking every meal here (there are so many wonderful choices within driving distance); they do a wonderful dinner in the cosy dining room. Tuscan fare with the freshest of ingredients handled very well.

Stayed here 4 nights and ate in the restaurant 4 nights, so impressed after our first night didn't go anywhere else. It is obvious that so much thought care and love go into the cooking of these high quality dishes, as each one is delicious...MoreDear NswAustraliaDidi, We are proud of your appreciation, and this helps us to improve more and more so that the guest experience of the Locanda il Gallo will always be enjoyable, as was yours. So far this restaurant has been well reviewed but i beg to differ. We ordered three pasta dishes and the tomato meatballs. One of the pasta dishes we ordered was the Veal penne. Course ground veal cooked in cream and onion.
The veal was dry and overcooked.
The chef visited all tables but ours. At least the single waiter was attentive and cheery.
My rating is average only.

one year's old restaurant specializing in Cucina Tipica
Hotel Villa Campomaggio recommended this place so we went there. What a great restaurant!!! The food was outstanding and they have an inexpensive house wine that was just terrific. We had the lasagna, rib eye steak, and lamb chops and they were all excellent. Service as fantastic as well. Highly recommend!!!! Also, there is limited parking by the restaurant, so if it is full, go back to the south side of town, and there is bus and car parking down the hill BEHIND the restaurant. Use Google Maps to see where the parking is, as we had to use this parking for our rental car!!!!

Stopped in here for a late morning coffee and it was so charming. Staff were helpful with my broken Italian and they made a great coffee. I love this little town and our quick stop was certainly enhanced by popping into fuoripiazza
