Welcome to Di Sab, where tantalizing, fresh food, meets intimate, enthusiasm hosting, meets house blends of local rum, contributing to a special culinary experience
This is a creole restaurant, serving local as well as Indian and Cantonese delicacies. The owners, Anwar, Sabrina and her mother Monica are just the friendliest, most down to earth people we met. Even though Mauritians are exceptionally convivial, the three stood out in this respect. I highly recommend the cocktails, which are made from fresh fruit, as well as the house rum, with an astounding 16 flavors - you will be spoilt for choice. My personal favorites were the spice and the chili flavored, with the citrus flavor being a close contender.
As prices go, it is great value for money.
A must visit if you are in the Grand Gaube area.

La Table du Château is a contemporary fine dining restaurant in the heart of Domaine de Labourdonnais and welcomes you in a wooded and modern atmosphere. Chef Fabio Poli proposes a gastronomic and creative menu inspired by the fruits and vegetables of the orchid. La Table du Château is open 7 days a week for lunch, from Wednesday to Saturday evening (with a different lunch and dinner menu) and all week for your private parties on reservation. Chef Fabio Poli has over 20 years of experience in the kitchen of well-known hotels. With its gains, he offers a new facet of home cooking and flavours of Mauritius, rigorously selecting ingredients and spices . You will discover the Bael fruit, Malagasy pistachios or breadfruit , unknown today since become flavours of yesteryear ... So you can enjoy as you wish, Catch of the day, glazed with Soya and maple syrup Wok sautéed Udon noodles with vegetables, buttered spring herbs greens or rather a dry lamb curry with croutons of bread, roasted almonds and raisins, seasonal kucha pickles , steamed rice and black lentils , or other creative dishes as all that will awaken your senses. And for the delight taste buds, the desserts are not to be outdone Bananas " zanzli " Roasted Toffee sauce or crème brûlée with vanilla of Labourdonnais are among the various sweet and delicate flavours .
The menu looked amazing and the setting of a restaurant in front of the beautiful colonial building all lead me to think that this was going to be a fantastic experience.
The prices (which were steep) also made me think that this was going to be a special meal which would stand out from the rest.
Despite a very dedicated level of service the food itself was disappointing. The Angus steak was well cooked but lacked any particular taste which made it stand out from any other piece of meat. The sauce was also inexistant. Accompanying the steak were a couple of lonely pieces of vegetables which were undercooked and bland. Not what I expected at a high class restaurant in Mauritius.
I also took the risk of the signature chocolate gateau. Drowned in chocolate sauce which made the ingredients indistinguishable. Not a good choice.
I’m afraid that although I may go back to see the chateau and the grounds, it won’t be to eat there.

A lovely, cosy and friendly atmosphere.Excellent food and local speciality. low price and a warm service
Small local restaurant in Grand Gaube. Unpretentious but nice local food, generous portions and excellent service !
The fish sallad (starter) was EXCELLENT. The fish was so fresh and so tasty. Shrimps (main course) were good but I believe they might have been frozen. Fried noodles (with shrimps and chicken) were excellent.

Linda offers typical Mauritian dishes as well as food from around the world for those not brave enough to tackle creole spices ! During the day, you can enjoy a nice coffee with our famous banana tart or sip on a cold milkshake. At Linda's Place is a small family cafe/restaurant where Linda and her two sons will make your dining experience as homy as it will ever get. Hope to see you soon...
Had a great diner at Linda's...loved the curry!
Some people mentioned that it is closed often..it is not but you just have to park and the restaurant is a small step down...
From real mauritian food to international food..everything is possible..
Please remind to pay cash as in more mauritian restaurants

A richly intimate salon, complimented by a secluded outdoor dining oasis. Savour the cultural blending of Peru and Argentina across three distinct spaces combining a vibrant ‘Hot Salsa’ open grill kitchen, our ‘Ceviche, Tiradito & Pisco’ bar’ and a dedicated pastry station with un-skippable sweet treats. A first in Mauritius!
My wife and I managed to squeeze in a reservation here, and it was definitely worth it. Excellent food. Very well seasoned. The chef definitely appears to capture Peruvian cuisine well, I'm sure it helps that he is also South American. Compliments to the chef!
