Trawlers is a landmark Sea Food restaurant in Gordon’s Bay, Cape Town. We serve single portions, parcels, platters, combos and burgers. We only sell the freshest fish and calamari we can find. Trawlers has been in operation since 1995 and have been featured in numerous magazines, radio talk shows and even Television productions. We are situated right on the beach in Gordon’s Bay, the quiet coastal town in False Bay. We are a ‘must stop’ for anyone traveling to and through Gordon’s Bay. Call us to book a table or to place an order. Sit at one of our tables and experience the most amazing sunsets in Africa! We are open for tour group bookings, family gatherings or company functions (we can comfortably seat 80 people). Join us for lunch, dinner or a sunset for two.
A cramped and not so clean spot that used to be great but has gone very much off the boil . Staff attitudes are also not good ......seem to not understand who the customer is .

We were lucky to find a table on Sunday despite wanting to go next door to Antonio's ( recommended ) but had a great long lunch with good food and great service . Today (Thursday) returned to try Antonio's next door but first course and service so disappointing that we have moved back to Bertie's for main course . The prawns at Bertie's are a hands down winner and the service and attention to detail far superior . Also had a great Eisbein and nachos and they have modern decent wine classes

Fine dining in the heart of the winlelands with spectacular views over False bay . Lunch Monday to sunday 12 to 2 pm . Dinner monday to saturday 7 pm to 9 pm
We had a fantastic birthday celebration dinner at Waterkloof last night. Our table was in the big glass window looking out over False Bay. We chose the 3 course option and also ordered the wines that were recommended with each. The food could have been works of art - beautiful, tasty, delectable - portions could have been a bit larger though but this is a fine dining restaurant so smaller portions are what one can expect. I can highly recommend starter scallops, the quail as the main dish, and any of the Deserts. The wine produced by this farm is of the highest quality. It is an expensive restaurant but I felt it was worth every cent.

Situated on the beachfront in the Strand, Ben's on the Beach boasts spectacular views across False Bay, towards Cape Town. Veteran award-winning restaurateur Ben, and his wife, Shirley (a former hotel school lecturer), established Ben's in 2004. They have created a stylish yet relaxed venue, where a varied and well-priced selection of dishes is offered. Ben's is one of the few remaining establishments that continues to dry-age meat - the time-honored and superior method. At Ben's you will not find over-priced and under-portioned "haute cuisine". We believe that the new expression "less is more" is gobbeldygook, where food is concerned. We concentrate on the simple yet timeless dishes that diners return to again and again, such as a great steak, fresh linefish, and the ever-popular creme brulee. At Ben's, you will discover generous portions at honest prices. We look forward to your visit ... And then return!
Haven’t been to the this one for over ten years. Pleasantly surprised!
Menu leaning more towards a steakhouse than seafood which I find strange being on the BEACH and decor inside has a nautical feel.
Food however was great! Honey glazed pork ribs was the best I had in a very very long time. My colleague said the same about his rump steak. My wife had fish with steamed mussels and thoroughly enjoyed it. Calamari not the best but have had worse at seafood restaurants. Service very friendly and attentive.
Iona wines amongst others at affordable prices.
Really well worth a visit - and a view to add!

While the decor may not be quite authentically Italian, the excellent pizza and pasta, and the summer sunset can make this ordinary cafe turn out to provide a memorable visit. Service was quick and our host made us feel welcome. When busy, some may find it very crowded, although sitting outside is fine when not windy or cold.

Do not be put off by the rather drab and casual appearance, this place does seriously good food. Book in advance if you can.
We never return to the same restaurant on two consecutive nights....but we did here!
We enjoyed risotto, crab cake, baby calamari and mussels as starters. All were incredibly tasty and well presented.
As for mains: Perfectly cooked line fish, Hake and mussel combo, a burger and a vegetarian pasta dish all really impressed us.
The service was just as we like it, attentive but not in your face.
A great wine list too and all very reasonably priced. The two of us even managed two bottles of chenin blanc on the first night.
Visit and enjoy!!

Casual and laid-back. Come as you are. Outside Seating for 80+ guests overlooking the marina in the "new harbour". Menu consists of Pizza, Steaks, Seafood, Schnitzel, Eisbein (haxe)and plenty more. Beer on tap and most of the popular bottled beers and ciders. An extensive wine-list. Major sports events are shown on big screen TV's. Free internet access via our Hotspot.
This was our first time visiting Antonios. It will not be the last.
The setting is beautiful and tranquil, albeit that the restaurant is a no frills, nothing fancy place.
The service was very friendly and efficient.
Two of our party ordered prawns, while the third ordered calamari. All of the food was fresh and well prepared.
All in all, a nice afternoon out.

We often visit this Ocean Basket on our way back to Betty's Bay after shopping. Lovely outlook onto the waterfront especially when there is no wind!
The management and staff are friendly and attentive and the food comes out of the kitchen promptly. Our favourites are the combos- hake and calamari/prawns, accompanied by a fresh salad, that never disappoints.
We are relocating to Gordon's Bay soon, so OB in Gordon's Bay will become our regular.
