This coffee shop is always busy, yet a very peaceful setting. Very nice food always freshly made and very well priced, not to mention the friendly service. The coffee shop is in town with ample secured parking. The best item on the menu must be the Curried Mango, avo and chicken open Sandwich. Enjoy!

Open for lunch Mondays to Fridays from 12:00 to 14:30 and Open for Dinner Mondays to Saturdays from 18:00 till late.
Now I don't get to George that often, so I'm unfamiliar with the restaurants. The Old Townhouse looked like one of those restaurants that have been around for years and has witnessed many rowdy dinner parties. Given the rather dated "look and feel" of the place, I was a little apprehensive about what to expect in the food department.
Well, as the old cliche goes, never judge a book by its cover. It was terrific! My salad to start was great. I had the fillet with a pepper sauce with potatoes and veg. Simple, beautifully plated and delicious. I ended off with the good old Frangelica Dom Pedro. My companion had the line fish and loved it.The service was impeccable and the owner/manager checked to see if we were all happy. Definitely worth a visit.

La Capannina restaurant is a welcoming venue designed with a homely and yet vibrant atmosphere. Our cuisine is primarily Mediterranean style including selected South African delicacies. For the Wine Connoisseur, we have an extensive wine list with regular additions of new and exciting varietals.
We had dinner here by recommandations from our guesthouse Heriot Manor. Unfortunately we already did the local beer tasting at Robertson, so our appetite was limited. It was a lovely evening, we sat on the Terrace, were served by very attentive waiters and enjoyed the...MoreHI Frans! Thank you for your kind words and we hope to welcome you back again soon!

Although Turkish elements are still present in the foods and ambience, the emphasis moved to serving outstanding South African cuisine at the most affordable prices.
We were two couples who enjoyed a lovely lunch and great excellent service. Seating was well selected, we could converse properly all the time!

Dramatically situated, overlooking a sweep of pristine beach and rocky outcrops, Duttons Cove offers unparalled privacy and tranquility. The Terrace areas extend from the restaurant and bar, offering magnificent views and sunsets over the bay.
Dutton's Cover restaurant needs a new chef urgently!
Chicken schnitzel arrived burnt, dry, rubbery and stringy. Cheese sauce was a paste not a sauce.
Nice setting though and staff pleasant, although too embarrassed to receive payment in person, our waiter sent someone else to present the bill.
I would suggest ordering drinks only and move on for a meal elsewhere...

Authentic Italian trattoria styled restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinners. Authentic Italian trained chef makes tradition Italian cuisine like mamma does. Come try our Spaghetti Bolognese, beef Lasagna, Spinach and ricotta cannelloni which are all traditional dishes that will have you coming back for more... Our thin based pizza's are also a must. Our Deli is stocked with imported items to tempt you which are all used in our menu... We make fresh homemade ravioli which can be pre ordered for that special occasion
Reviews were great, but severely disappointed in our lunch. The only wine by the glass was plonk, and they were out of mozzarella. We ordered the lasagna and spaghetti carbonara. The former was a good size, but tasted canned, the pasta so soft you couldn't taste it at all. The carbonara was chalky and the sauce too thick. Maybe it was an off day?

No accident that this is at the top of the George lists, a superior experience in every way, from the eclectic decor and discreet but professional service to the high standards of every course delivered. Breakfast offered more variety than necessary and was a delight, we returned for tea and snacks and the cakes were exceptional; it is clear that no corners are cut in terms of freshness of ingredients or focus on flavour. You could return innumerable times and I would confidently predict the maintenance of the high standards, with prices that are low enough to ensure you feel satisfied as well as spoiled. Whilst not the easiest to find for a newcomer to George, this is a compulsory visit and one that will ensure a return trip.

La Cantina provides the perfect setting for relaxed family dining. With its traditional Italian menu, La Cantina treats guests to an authentic Mediterranean culinary experience ranging from homemade pastas to succulent steaks. The warm, inviting atmosphere is not limited to the evening meal - La Cantina serves a buffet breakfast daily and a Sunday buffet lunch.
Buffet breakfast was good every day but we went for dinner as four people at 7 PM. Having shared a couple of cold starters we had to wait 2 hours before our main courses of 2 steaks and 2 pasta dishes arrived - appalling. We after waiting over an hour we asked several times for somebody to check our order. Having told them how long we had waited nobody cam to apologise which we would have expected. All together bad service and the badly handled.
