I love Indian food and the food here is pretty good. It's a good location and there is nearby parking. Service was good but we were the only diners so maybe that helped. My only real complaint was the bright lights! It was like being in a bright office, not a restaurant. Be nice to see some decoration and lower mood lighting. Might get more in house diners too.

2 large groups in and both were served in a timely manner. The chicken mignon served with garlic mash was absolutely gorgeous and raved about by all who had it. The char-grilled steak was a little too char grilled (black) for the steak lover at our table. Salads were just about empty by time we all got to them. Overall, nice atmosphere for this old country pub. Some went on to do Karaoke which topped off a lovely evening.

Java Hut is my go-to place whenever I'm in Gawler! The fact that it's always so busy speaks for itself. The food is always great - you get so much of it on the plate - and the price, for what you get, is insanely good, especially since there are so many cafes these days selling overpriced mediocre food. I love the pancakes, crepes, waffles and even just the toast. Coffee, side salads and cookies on the counter are also all excellent. Staff are just lovely and very helpful. Always tell people to go here!

Having seen the glowing reports of Feast on Murray we thought we would try the place out. We were blown away by the friendliness of the staff. Attentive but not too overboard that you are always interrupted.
The food was awesome. Great tasting and really presented well. Great pauses in between courses certainly helped.
The gnocci was just perfect, along with the prawns.
Cant say enough about this place

Cafe Nova could not have done more for us. They organised a room for us to meet, so we could have a quiet coffee after the funeral. Alan the function co-ordinater was extremely helpful and accommodating and deserves a special thanks. Would highly recommend this cafe for the staff and food.

Went to Fasta Pasta for dinner on a Sunday night. We decided to sit outside as it was a nice night.
We were very impressed how fast our meals arrived and the quality of them. The pasta was delicious and so was the salt and pepper squid and fish. The staff were very friendly and curtious. I would highly recommend this place for value for money dining.

We found this cafe on day two in the Gawler region. Had an incredible brekkie. The man was actually brought the wrong brekkie dish, however, on visuality, decided that it would be OK. Which it was. My Calabrian brekkie was fabulous. I have since returned, and had lunch here today. Chose the Pollo Dijon. Fan, bloody, tastic. My chicken was so tender and moist, the sauce, superb, and the chippis, perfect. My son had a seafood "thing" which he loved. We were seated at an awful table, #2, however, love the staff, love the service. The food is fantastic.

We walked all over Gawler to find a place for good coffee and a light breakfast.
We walked past the bakery and would not have given it a second thought. However the wonderful aromas of freshly baked goods were overwhelming.
We were not disappointed. The croissants with ham and cheese were delicious and the coffee really good.

We stopped for a late lunch and were very pleased. We both had burgers and they were delicious. I'm not a fan of onion fries but these were very good. The decor was quite eclectic and it looked great. The person serving was charismatic, offering suggestions and polite conversation. I'd definitely recommend a visit.

The Golden Fleece Hotel, est. 1839. With great food, a new Pizza Baa, beer garden misters in the summer and a double sided gas fire in the winter, The Golden Fleece Hotel has a bright and inviting atmosphere, ideal for dining and socialising all year round. The hotel has a large open plan dining room, bar and beer garden, private gaming room and undercover parking. There's always something new happening at the Fleece, whether it's an exclusive price for members, a new cocktail special or a change to the delicious food and beverage selection.
We were recommended the Golden fleece by a winery we visited earlier that day. We found the food very good and sat outside as it was a very hot day. The pizza was cooked next door and other food came from inside the pub. Just need to get it all to the table at the same time. If we were in Gawler for longer we would have used it again.
