This is a great place. An authentic no-nonsense menu with delicious fresh fish and proper helpings. None of these three peas, one broad bean, or much vaunted 'heritage tomatoes', whatever they are. What a change to have a straightforward sole with lemon, or ray with boiled potatoes, which were the courses we had. A warning though, as the helpings are refreshingly generous it might be wise to go for one course only, either a starter or a main. We rounded off our meal with two scoops of ice cream enlivened with a dash of Vodka: a Coupe Colonel...
It was our first visit. We were well looked after and made to feel at home. There were lots of local people and there was a good atmosphere. One party was celebrating a little girl's birthday and everyone joined in with 'Joyeux Anniversaire', same tune as the English 'Happy Birthday. All good fun. We'll certainly go back when we're next in the area.

Can't believe no one else has reviewed the Grillade. Our favourite restaurant in Fecamp. Wonderful food, specialising in meats grills on an open fire. Small and intimate make sure you book as it gets full most weekend evenings. Lovely hostess's. Excellent.

Fecamp is a great destination with a proper French feel, not over-run with tourists in my opinion. Three of us had sailed across from Eastbourne and this was the best recommendation near the marina.
We booked a table and it's a good job we did as it was full and they were turning people away. The restaurant appears to be family run and perhaps slightly light on staff for a busy Saturday.
The modestly priced 22 euro menu offered a good selection. The restaurant favours seafood and we enjoyed a plate of fruit de mer - Whelks, winkles, grey shrimps, prawns, oysters and langoustine served with shallot vinegar, mayonnaise, and a selection of good bread.
Mains of Lemon Sole - the dish of the day- was, like the other seafood, sparklingly fresh and prettily presented.
This was followed by a cheese plate of two local cheeses in good condition.and puddings which included a Benedictine soufflé and iced nougat.
This was all washed down with some red and white wine and followed by coffee and a calvados which was a generous measure.
Total bill for three was 110 euro including tip.
A good solid choice that I would be happy to return to.

Don't be put off by having to go upstairs over the fish shop. It will be well worth it. The quality of the fish and seafood is superb, and the service friendly, (try to speak at least a little French).

A very small authentic country French place in a very scenic part of town. Décor and tables are traditional French. Menu is only a couple each of appetizers, entrees and dessert selections. Menu changes daily and pricing in very reasonable. A limited selection of wines...MoreThank you for your comment. We enjoy to see you again. D. and JP. Wetterer

Only had 3 bones in my turbot fillet. Very friendly! One bone, two bones and three bones. A fourth would have been one to many. Fantastic flavors on a plate!

We had a very nice dinner here at this small restaurant last week - we had delicious mussels in a seafood cream sauce to start followed by filet of fish for my wife and yassa chicken for me - both delicious as well. Everything is made to order and extremely fresh. The only negative point is that the service is slow; we were relatively lucky as we arrived a 9 PM and finished at about 10:30 PM and were the last customers (although we did just have a starter and main course). However, the couple next to us told us they arrived at 7:30 PM and got their main course at 9 PM! They were VERY patient (they understandably skipped dessert). The service was friendly enough - just not very efficient due to the backlog in the kitchen I suppose. Also, when we asked for a bit more bread, our server told us that they were out of bread! Never in my many years of living in France have I dined in a restaurant 'out of bread'. I get it that "made to order" takes time, but I think they could be a bit better organized. However, the quality of the food is first rate - just be prepared to wait.

I wasn't that impressed with the food here. As with nearly everyplace in France they don't cater well to non-meat eaters, except for fish. The portions sizes are huge which is food if you are hungry; some of my friends dishes looked nice and they do have a lot of seafood. The desserts were okay but spéculoos tiramisu is NOT a tiramisu and is really dry....pick a different dessert. Good location near the sea front but average service.

Brewery located opposite Fécamp Port , Place Nicolas Selle . Breakfast, lunch , dinner , bar in the afternoon. Possibility to eat on the Terrace in summer, fish , mussels , meat, sauerkraut specialty from the sea and roasted Camembert.
This restaurant has a pleasant outside eating area together with other local eateries. Service was OK but they had run out of several menu options when we came to order. Food wasn't anything special really but nothing to complain about.
