In una cornice meravigliosa, fuggiti dall'afa cittadina, ci siamo ritrovati a pescare nel laghetto. A pranzo, abbiamo gustato le pietanze del grotto. Piatti semplici, ma di buona qualità. Personale, sia del grotto che della pesca sportiva, gentile e disponibile.

Very typical grotto where the hot meals center around Polenta in all kind of different forms. We had the one with Spezzatino which was very tasty. The salad was truly fresh and the local wine just perfectly complemented the meal. Young service personnel who does a fine job.

The Dacia is a historic toll house along the old passroad over the San Gottardo pass. We got a great meal in a historic room which we liked a lot. The young people who served us did really their best.

I went here with some colleagues from work. We all had the menu proposed by the chef (they were very accommodating to dietary restrictions causing some minor changes to the menu). We started with prosciutto crudo and a terrine of vegetables. Followed by a salad with fish for some and ravioli for others. We all opted for the beef dish which was divinely tender and perfectly cooked to medium rare. I was tempted to lick my plate since the sauce was amazing, I instead choose to dip everything I could into any leftover sauce. The dessert was chocolate mousse with a meringue. The meringue had a little sweetness and some crunch, while the mousse was rich and not too sweet, just perfect. The portion sizes were ideal for not ended up stuffed after two of the courses. The setting is very nice, on the minor road and in front of the station in Lavorgo. When deciding on a wine, the chef takes you into the wine cellar to help you choose. I would definitely recommend the restaurant, overall it was a wonderful evening.

Bel ristorante situato all entrata di Faido in provenienza da sud. Cibo di buona qualitá e porzioni generose. Ho provato il cordon bleu e l ho trovato molto buono. Bene.

Love Giornico. Love eating outside under the vines, on a granite table, overlooking the river. Love the quality and value of their food: menu at around CHF 25 with terrific choices, all prepared with quality ingredients and well presented.

Eat at lunch time the famous "sfilatino" (check if they offer it at lunch time as maybe not always they do). The "sfilatino" is so delicious, truly comfort food, yummy... worth the trip.
The staff is just so so friendly. A great stop if you are visiting Faido or near by.

The fondue has been simply excellent, the combination of cheese ensures the perfect taste, the experience provides the correct consistency of the mass and the local personnel turns the visit to a pleasant event. Come back anywhen, time permits.

The pizzas were very tasty. The service was average. Kids can play in front of the terras. 18 euro for a pizza is quite expensive

Su consiglio di amici, ci simo recati alla Conca per provare la Tartar.
Effettivamente la carne (ottima) è stata tagliata al coltello, non ridotta in poltiglia dal tritacarne. Inoltre si è presentato con un assaggio, chiedendo se la volevamo tagliata più fine, rispettivamente se il condimento era corretto o se la volevamo più condita.
Rapporto qualità e prezzo molto onesto. Da provare!
