Restaurant Grano de Oro merges Costa Rican tropical with European cuisine under the expertise of our French chef Francis Canal. Once a simple cafe, this restaurant has evolved into one of San Jose’s finest dining establishments, frequented by locals and tourists alike.Specialty cocktails, classically presented dishes and delicious desserts are served in the charming ambiance of a magnificent period home with an elegant inner courtyard. The bilingual wait staff provides professional and friendly service. Service is offered throughout the day from 7 am to 10 pm. Restaurant, patio and bar are non-smoking
Very nice !! Food is good.Rations in the small side.High end place. Decoration and cleanness awesome. Located in within a hotel installation. Close to downtown San Jose. We also had a wonderful and quiet breakfast.

Saga is a modern, international food restaurant where clients can not only delight themselves with exquisite dishes, but also enjoy the tropical view like atmosphere combined with its modern architecture. In Saga, there is a prevalence of modernism in both its food and design while contrasting with the tropical ambiance of the landscape. In Saga, international food is transformed with the blending of tastes from different parts of the world. The experience is only enhanced by its already renowned gourmet bakery.
My wife and I visited while we were staying at the Marriott across the road. I had the 'ensalada superfoods' - a quinoa salad - and my wife had the Italian Sandwich with a Caesar salad. Very friendly staff, decent menu, OK atmosphere - I suppose good all around. ~$15-$20 for most main dishes, which I'd say is a bit expensive for Costa Rican standards.

Restaurant with authentic Spanish cuisine, tapas and entrees, a wide selection of Spanish wines and, Terrace overlooking the valley and tapas-bar very affordable prices and exclusive audience.
Very nice place, a gateway close to the city in a really rustic but fine environment. Food was awesome, however it needs more descriptions for those who do not know that much about Spanish food. Morcilla is the best I have tried. Prices some good, some off, but overall worth for a special occasion

Been there 4 times already because the food is always on point. I have had some of the best wine and dine experiences there except for the service.
As a person who lived in Paris, I must recognize that the service in Doris is on par to the one in Paris... which is a terrible thing to say. There is only one waiter who has been kind in that restaurant; the rest have been constant nay-sayers with condescending tones.
If the administration someday decides to reconsider its staff etiquette, I will be happy to increase the rating.
On the plus side the skirt steak, the New York Steak, the eggplant entrée, the carcioffi caldi, and the OMG the bread... best house bread. Seriously.

Went to this restaurant because the one across from it was closed. We Love Ethnic Food so this was a great find anyway. The food & service were terrific. The tzatziki was very runny & I'm used to the thick strained yogurt kind, so I would say they need help w/that. Everything else was great! The pita bread was exceptional. We would go back!

Pescatore Restaurant is focused on providing recipes where creativity and originality are the highlights, fusing peruvian and Mediterranean cuisine. A truly new and unique experience. The restaurant is owned by Peruvian chef Regis Molina, Le Cordon Bleu graduate, with extensive experience in Costa Rica. Finally note the open kitchen, large windows and the ability to eat outdoors. Hope to see you soon !
Was excellent!
Simply delicious, expensive yes, but totally worth it.
The service was great, personalized and really professional.
I made the reservation saying it was for a birthday and they didn't make it just another one, they called us by name and offer a courtesy dessert for her.
Really happy!

I had a very bad dinner experience at this location . I ordered a ribeye and it came cold, hard, too disgustingly full of hard fat , creamy spinach out of the freezer and service could actually improve a lot....you overpay for any dish here to get such an experience . AVOID, go to the Asian one, I had lunch there and rolls were pretty good
