The young chef Maria Gross and her talented team create an outstanding dining experience. Check their website http://www.restaurant-clara.de and look at the veal dish - it was served just like that and tasted fabulous!
Special compliments to Marta Hüller for the excellent service and even more so, for her outstanding wines!

846/5000 Only the best for the best taste. Our kitchen works largely with regional, fresh products and offers you a combination of traditional and modern cuisine. We attach great importance to high-quality products and therefore use only lactose- and gluten-free spices without the addition of taste enhancers. On our menu you will find classic Thuringian dishes including Thuringian dumplings as well as own extraordinary creations. Whether you're looking fora small snack, juicy meat from the grill, fish or vegetarian dishes - every guest will find something for his taste. And this is important to us, because our philosophy is to create taste experiences, but also passion and attention to detail. Regina Fischer, Yvette Spitzki and her team hope you enjoy!
This was such a lovely little restaurant. Great service, and some solid regional dishes. I chose dumplings in a mushroom cream sauce - unfortunately they brought me the wrong dish so i did have to wait a little while. So we tried some of the local wine - which was very nice, if not too nice! The meal was good, not amazing but good. Had a lovely desert of chocolate fondant!

I ended up in this restaurant by chance, after a long day walking through Erfurt. I was really hungry and therefore very happy that the food was served quickly. The spaghetti vongole were fresh and delicious with huge clams and mussels. The wine was good too. Several times, the waiter came to my table and asked if everything was o.k. Even though eating alone there, I felt welcomed and comfortable. This is a real Italian restaurant run by Italians. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside as well.

Had dinner here with a colleague during a business trip to Erfurt.
As I am from England, my colleague felt we should go for some traditional food of the area and when we came across this place it looked good and menu sounded yummy.
The parchment rolls as a menu are a nice touch as are staff in traditional costume.
You are seated at long wooden tables, so it feels like one big group, even if you are there with just two.
Food was very tasty, but portions are huge and we could not really finish it all. My colleague went for the ribs (as they were on offer that day), but stuck to his first plate without ordering a second helping (despite it being an all you can eat offer)
Local beer went down well with the food and was served in huge mugs.
Food may be a little heavy for everyday cuisine, but it certainly is worth a visit.

The restaurant is ok, wanted to tried some local food but I wasn't super impressed.
Service was fine and restaurant was clean.
I was not super impressed by the taste, but that is obviously a matter of taste...
Tried some asparagus soup and "Rinderroullade" which seem to be the signature dishes of the joint.
All in all it seems one of the best places to experience local food and beer, the latter being the better part in my humble opinion.

When visiting Erfurt a stroll up to the Petersberg is a must. The best viewpoint in town right next to the impressive dome. And when up there you should try the lunch or just the coffee in Glashuette. We had a big lunch for 8 persons and service as well as food was good. The food took very long because the place was packed, but the quality was fresh and tasty, so well worth the wait.
They have in and outdoor Seating.

Super duper urber fast service. There were seven of us. We had two starters: mozarelle caprece and carpriccio. more than enough and some left over. Dinners were lasagne pasta alla forma, spaghetti and meat sauce and tris do pasta. The pasta alla forma, was exceptionally delicious. The lasagne was delectable. The tris do pasta has three different sauces. One sauce was arrabeata suttle spice but delicious. Next sauce was olive oil and garlic, yummy. Final was tortalini with meat sauce very good. We couldn't finish it all.

Inhouse Grill
A great, straightforward concept in old-fashioned settings. Faust Food is a sensibly-priced Thuringian grill, with a few tasty digressions from trad menus. Aside from succulent, tender, flavoursome piggy treats, we liked the thoughtful presentation, light hand with side dishes and quality. The potato bread was just right, likewise a big, big kartoffel puffer. The rustic medieval barn it inhabits is an ideal backdrop for the food. Strictly casual, great for friends with hearty appetites.

Roulade of beef and similar cooked dishes are specialities of the house and are complemented by an excellent wine list.
This really deserves to be rated #1. They have a delightful secluded small triangular shaped garden patio with the surrounding walls draped in ivy - very picturesque. My wife had the Zander (pike/perch filet} which was a generous portion and came with barley and grilled veggies. I had the veal cordon blue which was delicious as were the roast potatoes and perfectly cooked al dente assorted grilled veggies. We had a bottle of a Chianti Reserva followed by another large glass of a French Merlot and a large bottle of sparkling water all for only 75 euro - really greater value. The service was attentive and friendly but not rushed. The only downside was the rude Irish singer whom they could well do without. If you are in Erfurt don't miss this place.

Good option for vegetarians if you are fed up with McD veggie burgers. Had falafels, which were above average. Sit down space is little less, more of a take away joint.
