This is a long established Italian restaurant which consistently serves excellent food. I have been many times and never been disappointed. It is looking a little dated and cluttered but not to put you off.
On this visit I was with my wife and our adult son and it was his first trip. He was very impressed with the extensive menu which also features a number of daily specials. The waiters are always very knowledgeable about the dishes and helpful.
We all had starters and the main courses comprised a veal chop, steak and very special ravioli. All of us thought the food was delicious and well presented and served. Their drinks are a touch pricey, but not excessively so.
I don't think you will ever have a bad meal here and if you take advantage of the weekday Tastecard 2 for 1 offer, it is not dear. Our bill was perhaps a bit heavier than normal because of the amount of excellent wine we drank, but that would apply anywhere.
I will be back.

Contrary to rtdan2018's use of subterfuge that reflected pure falseness, this restaurant is undoubtedly the best curryhouse in Enfield. Once we look past rtdan2018's obloquy, we realise the wonders that the Poppadom provides.
Staff service was excellent and made our group feel very welcome to the restaurant. After a starter of poppadoms with the 4 sauces to the tastebud's perfection, I myself ordered a bhuna based on previous pleasurable visits, and once again was by no means disappointed as the flavours were spot on and the level of heat was to perfection. The food was so good I even forgot to take a pic for my Snapchat story. Portion size was plentiful and at first I was unsure if i could finish such a healthy sized portion, but I was feeling quietly confident that I could fit it all in, and in this case it was flavour over matter and resulted in a clean plate. The garlic naan was flavoursome.
Once cold beers and a hearty meal was consumed, we were treated to shots of our choice, on the house. The 10 hungry boys all left full and happy. Fine dining at a good price.
Would recommend to a friend with good taste in curry.

James Greer (chef/proprietor) started his career at Killybegs catering college in County Donegal which enabled him to enter some of Europe’s most prestigious kitchens. To mention a few; Robert Carriers, Hilton Park Lane, London’s Governor House, Hilton Zurich and the Black Forest’s Gasthof Zum Lowen. Whilst working as Head Chef at the Royal Lancaster Hotel that he met his wife Moira, who was positioned in the banqueting department alongside acclaimed caterer Faye Schneider. In 1998 they achieved their dream of opening their own restaurant, the Beautiful South. “Over the last 15 years I have developed and adapted the menus to show off my passion for cooking and would now describe the food as modern French with a British influence. I prefer to use seasonal produce in the dishes and menus that I create. I select local suppliers whenever possible, allowing me to get the freshest products ingredients delivered daily. We create and cook all our dishes in the restaurant which also includes a fantastic selection of desserts. We also have experience of banqueting in major London hotels and are able to cater and offer help with organising any special events such as Conferences, Weddings, Christenings, Birthdays, Bar Mitzvahs etc.”
Lovely evening at Beautiful South. We were greeted immediately by Pedro who was very entertaining and provided a great service throughout our dinner.
Daniel and chefs cooked up an amazing meal, The chicken was tender and the mushroom sauce was lovely. The prawns were juicy and flavoursome. The mushroom tortellini was perfectly cooked.
We would definitely recommend a visit to Beautiful South. You will not be disappointed!

Had two main meals in this Table Table branded restaurant. Pre-booked a table for Saturday evening, as we believed it may be busy. Reasonable greeting (If indistinguishable) on arrival, & shown to table. This was still slightly sticky from previous usage, but waiter quickly cleaned it when pointed out. Waiter was very friendly & attentive, without being over bearing. Disappointed our bottle of wine, although chilled, was not provided with an ice bucket. Food quality was good, although rice supplied with Thai Red Curry, only just warm. Having read previous reviews, we went with an open mind.
The service was good & there appeared to be plenty of staff, as the evening got busier. However, would suggest more management attention is paid to the food.

Unfortunately the restaurant has now closed but we tend to use the Delivery service from the take away. We had 2 cod, plaice and scampi, a large chips and mushy peas between four of us. The Delivery arrived promptly ten minutes before the allocated time and was piping hot. All of the fish was absolutely gorgeous, the batter was crispy and light and fish tasted fresh. The chips were lovely and the portion generous, none of the meal was greasy at all. Definitely will be ordering more often.

we booked a week ago a table at La Caverna, a restaurant we have visited a number of times in the past. We had always enjoyed our experience hence why we kept on going back. Our Saturday night meal was a birthday celebration. We arrived 15 minutes early to find a packed restaurant. When we mentioned our name and our booking, the staff all began to look a bit sheepish. To cut a long story short, it appears that they gave our table to someone else. If we were late we could understand that but we were early. We did not receive an apology we were told to 'wait approx. an hour' for a table to come free. Needless to say we did not stay. We have never experienced this at any restaurant ever. I doubt we will ever go back.
Shame, we used to like La Caverna......

By far the best Indian restaurant around. Food is always of a very good quality. Always have a longer wait than specified if you order a Delivery, however it is well worth the wait.

Food was good except for the fish - very over cooked (dry and tasteless). A simple dish that was ruined.
Service was horrendously slow; it took an age to get the bill and then to finally pay. Very little attention to the customers.

I'll leave the food commentary to my pictures! What really impressed myself and Hazel last night was the first class, attentive and informative front of house team.
The food WAS delicious. And my only regret is that it's taken us 4 years to discover Gokhan and the team. But his wine recommendation was perfect, the "gift" of a walnut dessert most generous and moving us to a table for 4, when we had clearly over-ordered on food, was an unexpected bonus. Not the cheapest - but most definitely the best. They clearly cut no corners at Skewd! Highly highly recommended. P.S. I would be rather suspicious of Sonya K's recent review - this restaurant could never be described as less than Good - and maybe the alternative restaurant offered up starting with a "K" is bit of a giveaway!!!
