Restaurant De Marisco Y Carnes
I had grilled fish and French fries as well as a drink. I enjoyed the food very much- it was on of my more memorable meals in Chile. The sea breeze makes it a little cool to eat outside, but the view is wonderful.

In this restaurant you have a beautiful view over the bay and ocean. The food is simple, but good! We had a Pisco sour with a bit of poetry.. I won't tell you what that is.. Also there was nice live music while we were eating!

We were in Chile this past January and followed reviews by Tripadvisor members to this restaurant and loved it!! Thank you traveling community for taking the time to write!
The restaurant is just around the corner from Neruda's house-another must see but you need reservations-and the food, service, and price were all excellent. I recommend the congrio, fried with the standard summer side dishes. We also had locos, which are close to abalone, so if you like those you would love the locos which were tender and served with a green onion-parsley salsa called pilpil. Delicious! Also, the wine selection was great and their pisco sour prepared to perfection. Do not miss!

Small place whose highlights are its empanadas, which are HUGE and yummy
Popped in here for a quick bite after visiting Pablo Neruda’s house. We enjoyed the Empanadas- the ham and cheese our preference as the flavour of the Prawns was totally overpowered by the cheese. We sat outside behind the blooming Hydrangeas and Roses at little rustic hand-carved wooden tables.

We stopped here for lunch after going to Museo de Pablo Neruda. We speak very little Spanish and there were no English menus, but the waiter was very kind and helped us figure out what we wanted. The place was crowded at lunch time, and it is easy to see why. The food was delicious! We got empanadas, a Ceasar salad, and a steak dish with risotto to share. The portions were large and we very much enjoyed the food. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!
