El Prat de Llobregat (Catalan pronunciation: [əɫ ˈpɾad də ʎuβɾəˈɣat]), commonly known as El Prat [əɫ ˈpɾat], is a municipality in the comarca of Baix Llobregat in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the delta of the Llobregat river on the right bank, bordering the coast of the Mediterranean Sea between Barcelona and Viladecans. More than a quarter of the area of the municipality is occupied by Barcelona–El Prat Airport. Apart from the transport links to the airport, the town of El Prat is served by a railway station on the coast line from Barcelona to Valencia. The municipality also has a beach and a small nature reserve at the Llac (Lake) de la Ricarda i del Remolar. El Prat is famous for its blue-legged chickens (known as gall potablava in Catalan). El Prat forms part of the metropolitan area of Barcelona.

Restaurante de Cocina Creativa Catalana Con Productos de Proximidad del Baix Llobregat, entre otros el Pollastre Pota Blava
I must say I had almost gotten annoyed from finding this restaurant always closed, back in the summer. It was like "do these people ever work"?
Little I knew that it had been a management's decision to stay close until later in the winter (last year). So I finally got to try it last december. And boy, I must have been there another 7-8 times after that until now. I love it!
I like the food, like the attention to the detail, and the consistant excellent taste in every dish.
Of course, the menu is highly based on the Pota Blava and El Prat Artichokes (two local highly regarded products). Every now and then, the chef / owner creates some new tasty bits as starters.
Would suggest to create some new Deserts. I love the ones on the menu, but am curious for something different :-)
Well done! Keep it up guys!

Mediterranean restaurant, cooking with local products, with a focus on Pota Blava chicken and artichokes Prat. 10 minutes from Barcelona airport. We offer dinner from 19.30 h!
A gem discovered randomly. They accepted us for dinner after 11pm. Nice tasty slow food. The chicken in the cannelloni tasted like veal, it was delicious (not a chicken fan usually). The 70% chocolate fondant was decent, the white chocolate one with coconut delicious again. Wines were correct.

I wanted one final pulpo before going to the airport the next morning, and was not disappointed. The cod fritters and Greek salad were also excellent. The food and drink were very inexpensive (1.80 euros for a large beer!). Service was very friendly.

Visited here several years ago, unforgettable then as well. The selection and preparation of seafood is incredible, with a huge variety of locally caught crustaceans and shellfish available (my favourite) with Scottish langoustines to 50cm. Great service, reasonable prices. Negatively quite noisy (typical Spanish), more suitable for a long lunch than a tranquil dinner, also quite remote, almost exclusively Spanish patrons - always good.

I cannot stop recommending this place.
Everytime I'm in Barcelona I find my way to this restaurant for a dinner with their stunning degustation menu.
GREAT: The seasonal raw materials used to tailor the menu, the service, the wine menu and the prices... Not to be missed.
Thank you again :)

I visited this bar with friends by accident on a Sunday evening. I was impressed from the moment we entered by the friendly and formal manner by which we were treated. A comprehensive menu for all tastes, not only tapas, but salads, meals or toasted bread with toppings. The food of excellent quality and well presented. A variable wine list too, the waiter even given his suggestions for what we were going to eat.
The restaurant tastefully decorated with Barcelona iconic buildings.
Although I really enjoyed the evening and the food, I thought maybe the bill was a little expensive for what we had drunk and eaten. I would recommend it as an experience.

We found this restaurant because it was the closest to our airport hotel, as we prepared to fly out of Barcelona the next morning. What a delightful surprise - our best meal in Spain and one of the best ever anywhere. The service was impeccable - attentive but not smothering - and our server's suggestions were spot on. She told us that the owner chooses the fish daily herself, and that attention to detail shows. From the Cava that started the meal to the Moscatel that paired perfectly with the desserts, the meal worked so very well. The razorback clams were grilled to perfection. The smoky paprika on the octopus was excellent. The steak was rare, and served with smoking hot plates to finish the beef to our preference. Everything is local and it shows, from the beginning to the little apple cakes with anise served with the check. Well worth the money.

With this kind of friendly atmosphere that the restaurant and its employees offer, you will not resist to enjoy your time with your close friends and laugh loudly without any problem.
Food was great, though that i was not that much hungry, but i ate a lot of what we had.
At the end we had some sweets, the best was (Flan de la Abuela), a big dish of very well made cream caramel.

Lugar ideal para disfrutar de unas deliciosas tapas de elaboración casera, gran surtido en carnes ibéricas y pescados y un delicioso jamón.
This is a friendly little bar, with good simple tapas. We stayed in El Prat two nights and ate here twice. The great thing is that most of the customers are mostly locals. Don't expect too much english spoken! Also, it isn't very easy to...MoreGracias por su comentario y me alegró que disfrutarán de nuestras tapas en su estancia en nuestra ciudad.
