While nominally part of the Famagusta District of the Republic of Cyprus, it has been under the de facto control of Northern Cyprus since the partition of the island in 1974. My husband and I had dinner here for three consecutive nights at Manolyam Restaurant as we had bed and breakfast at Villa Carparis.
The restaurant is family run with local cuisine, good quality and fresh food, the managers are very kind, they offer various "Meze" before dinner and the price is honest.
The grilled calamari (which I usually do not like as they usually become bitter) here were fresh and cooked in art, sweet and soft; for the third dinner we booked in advance a special Cipriot dish in "oven casserole" with excellent meat and vegetables.
I would also recommend it because it is close to all the various lodges in the area.
When we return to Karpaz, we will definitely have dinner here every night, because the dinner is much better than in the Karpaz hotels. You can it inside in a big room or outside in their two covered terraces.

Hemingway's RestoBar is a contemporary restaurant, named after the American author, Ernest Hemingway who penned the famous novel entitled 'The Old Man and the Sea'. Hemingway's is situated along the Promenade at Karpaz Gate Marina, located on the Karpaz Peninsula of Northern Cyprus.

Apostolos Andreas Road, DipkarpazKarpas - Iskele / n.Cyprus
We were using the beach opposite the Livana, which is fantastic by the way, and decided to try it for lunch. Place was utterly deserted and we had seen cars come and go several times probably because they thought it was closed. We found someone, however, and ordered a couple of kebabs. It took a while but when she arrived with a tray overloaded with food it was a bit of a shock. I have never eaten so much and it was really good, especially the bread. Next day we came back and just ordered one kebab between us. It was still too much and just as good! When we came to pay I only had a 100 TL note and they didn't have any change. The owner gestured that we could pay tomorrow. They knew we would back on that wonderful beach.
And so we were, and we had another great single kebab and it was even more food. No other guests at any time, if you exclude the family who obviously made a mistake coming to a place that did not serve burgers.
OK, perhaps there was a reason, apart from the fact that it looked like it was closed. The place was strewn with dead insects, and I mean large dead insects. Beetles, a cockroach, grasshoppers and even one of those enormous hornets. Unfortunately there was also a bit of a fly problem. We didn't mind really, you have to get used to the flies, but the owner insisted helping us and sprayed the table with fly spray. Right in front of us. I thought we were going to join them. Someone would find two bodies lying on the beach with their legs in the air.
If you are passing, please give it a go. Assuming you like the local food I am sure you will not be disappointed.

We stopped off here for a light lunch before going to Glara Garden. We had a warm welcome but it was quiet as they were only just getting ready for the start of the season

The advert says... Unforgettable Hospitality....that is an understatement !! Seyfi & Imran were the perfect hosts. The restaurant was just opening for the season and not busy but it will be between June-Sept. The food was extremely generous and cheap! Good quality as well.
The Bungalows are very misleading from the outside. They don't look much from the outside but they are quite nice inside. En-suite and spacious with good a/c which you will need in the summer. Comfy beds and loads of warm water in the shower. No TV in bungalow but Wifi in the restaurant is free!
Positioned right on the beautiful beach and with amazing views to the sea and Mountains. The staff were really great and could not be more helpful......

My wife and I ended up there as the last option on this road and it was absolutely worth the extra km. The food was good, tasty and cheap (fresh calamari and delicious halloumi salad). The cold coffee was good, refreshing and perfect for the hot summer. If all that wasn't enough, the location is idellic with a quiet and beautiful bay right next to the place (much nicer than Golden Beach btw)

It's a lovely little family run cafe with very friendly owners who speak good English. They serve food, desert, soft drinks and traditional turkish style coffee. Definitely visit if you're planning a trip across the northern part of Cyprus and want to visit the untouched Beaches and get away from it all. The ice cream is amazing!

Ci tornerei sicuramente.
