The municipality comprises the towns of Destelbergen proper and Heusden and was created on January 1, 1977, by the fusion of these two municipalities. We happened to chance upon this restaurant while passing and decided to try it. We appreciated the amuse bouche served at the start and I followed this with the most delicious lobster soup. For the main course, I had steak that was amazingly tender, accompanied by mushroom sauce, frites and vegetables. I had no room for dessert. The ambience was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. Not the cheapest eating place in Ghent, but well worth paying the extra for.

We were three couples led by a Gent resident and picked the chef’s menu: 6 course with cheese and mouth tuning to move on. Got red and white wine, and zoooom! It’s not easy to please a group of extensive travel experience and taste adventures, but literally everyone praised the food. I had entrecôte to perfection, and loved the Dutch and French cheese variety for desert. Service was excellent and helped the conversation flow, with no diversion or displeasure. The dinner was as surprisingly good and the city of Gent!

A bit hidden small restaurant with Asian food in combination with Western touches. You need to make Reservations ahead because it is always booked. The host and cook always given you a big smile and loud laughter, which gives that little extra. Very nice dishes and well balanced in spice sand curry. I was very happy with the beef salad as starter, chicken in green curry as main course and panna cotta as desert. I surely will come back to this Asian pearl.

With a group of 8 we went for the menu having to choose between two possibilities for each course. We also accepted the suggestion for an all-in formula, matching wines being served at quantities "for drivers". An inventive and helpful idea….. The restaurant was very full, booking seems necessary. The food was ok without being exceptional. It took rather long time to receive our second course. One of the quests was not served at all and had seriously to wait until also his plate arrives. We were surprised the red wine glasses were not all of the same size. We would have expected the matching wine is served as the meal arrives but had to wait nearly until we finished to see the wine arriving. The quantity of wine for drivers was very very small. For the price, this is in fine not an attractive formula, better to stick to water. We do not see a reason to get back.

Nice young couple recently took it over and made a great little restaurant!
We had, as expected, again a very good meal. The new location is even better, the food is still delicious and service seems less nervous / more mature, and the location itself is very nice with a rather private terras.
The way of working is still the same- very limited choice, but everything you get is excellent.

Granduca is one of our favourite restaurants (mmmnnn... our favourite favourite?!) and this is because:-
1. The food served at this Italian restaurant is authentic, and delicious.
2. The service is always warm, friendly and tip-top. In fact, they tend to go the extra mile.
3. The restaurant is small and cosy. Even when fully booked, though, your table is spacious, and you don't feel squashed.
4. The wine list is very good. There are some gems on it and, if your Italian wine knowledge is not up to scratch, the staff there are able to guide you to something that your palate will enjoy.
5. There are some gems on the menu, which respects the seasons. Truffle season is a feast for the eyes and tummy; and their signature pasta dish with lobster is absolutely delicious. Please try the zabaglione! - from the sound of the hand-whisks in the kitchen, to the fresh and delectable taste, it is a winner!

We ate here while visiting Ghent. We had never seen a soup "fast food" restaurant before but our experience was very good. Excellent prices, tasty and healthy food and friendly staff. The place is small so you may have to wait to eat, but I think it's really worth it. Perfect for december cold. You get bread and butter and a few extras and sauces for free with the soup. I recommend the Thai one!

Dishes are very good! Of course they are looking for perfection, and the dishes are of top quality , fine presented , but if you compair with other star restaurants there is still a way to go.Basic Ingredients are not só expensive, but the end result for sure is!
For me it was a one go experience.
