The restaurant offers an excellent choice on local caught seafood.
Very friendly and helpful service. - It's not a licensed restaurant, but it is possible to bring your own wine, glasses are provided by the restaurant. Can only recommend the Restaurant in the historical building build with shell beach bricks

Situated just metres from the shores of Dolphin Beach and affording picturesque views of Shark Bay, The Boughshed Restaurant delivers a unique culinary experience. With a menu that makes the most of seasonal fare from the surrounding areas, a meal at The Boughshed will please the palate of even the most discerning foodie. Sit back, relax and drink in the sunset over Dolphin Beach. The Boughshed Restaurant is open daily from 7.00am for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Very nicely presented restaurant with availability of diverse quality food ranges. We ordered food and due to some reason our food arrived in 50 minutes (when we were told to expect that in 15 minutes).
Management staff humbly apologized us (saying they lost the reciept of our order) and offered free desert after the meal.
Incident happens so we didnt mind at al.. as the food and service was very nice.
Recomended

No Nonsense fish and chip cafe/restaurant, which offers good food at very reasonable prices. It is clean and it looks out over the seafront Promenade and beach

Had a few meals here and thought the food wa fantastic. Good size portions and excellent quality. A pity they let crows/rooks and seabirds spoil the experience. I know this is nature but they have almost domesticated these horrid birds and are now a nuisance.

The aquarium was very interesting, and you could tell that the guides were very passionate about what they were explaining. There were a variety of fish, including Nemo, stonefish, and sharks (not too hungry) with everything in between. The restaurant was very delicious with great service and amazing views. Lucky we were almost alone and so didn't have to wait at all for the food to be presented. There is a lot of variety (more than fish), and it all tastes really good.

This is a real nice road house, staff are always pleasant, food is fresh and bathroom facilities clean and tidy.
Billabong is in the middle of no-where, so expect to pay a tad more, and do not expect the same range as in a city, but these folks do a great job. We have visited a number of times and will continue to drop in when passing.
Note there are two road houses adjacent, one has a pub, this one is the one without the pub- ie the further north one by 100M. .

Though visitors need to wait for the tour to go around the aquarium, the tours are detailed and informative and allow each visitor to learn more about the animals, including turtles rehabilitating from illness, sharks, and sea snakes. You will see how the sharks eat and then can have a bite in the cafe yourself.

Worst service we've received in 21/2 months traveling Australia. While we waited she cleaned tables outside. Saw us and continued. No apologies no greeting or welcome. Paid with change which is usually appreciated by shopkeepers but got us a sneer. Really got the impression we were interrupting her day not supporting her business. Would never go back.
