A family business which was established in 1965, and has grown over the years to what it is now, a stop off on the West of Scotland. Retail shops include gifts, whisky, outdoor clothing and a Filling Station which has a diverse stock ranging from groceries to waterproofs along with the usual petrol station stock. We have two food areas: the main self-service Restaurant, and the Snack Stop. Both food areas provide home made foods, and where possible locally sourced ingredients. Our specialities includes our home made soups, home baking and comfort food. Nothing fancy, just made on the premises and as wholesome as possible. Our ethos since the late 1970's has been and still is 'Good Food Fine Shopping'. Our toilets are pretty good too.
I stopped in on my way home from a meeting in Oban. I only wanted a Sandwich or something for lunch, however, limited choice. I ordered a toasted wrap with bbq chicken. It came with a side salad (a bit of lettuce and 2 slices...MoreHello, naturally we are really disappointed in your review and would like to discuss this feedback with you further via email, would it be possible to email us - [email protected]

The recently refurbished inn provides dining options for every occasion: visit the Argyll Bar for no-frills bar food, the Lounge Bar for seasonal, a la carte dishes or the Conservatory for a seafood-inspired bistro menu. Home-baking and Illi coffee are available year-round. Families welcome.
Very busy dining room, but managed to squeeze me in after a short wait. I ordered scallops in an Indian style sauce for lunch. Very lovely but expensive for the price (approximately £18). It was just as well I was having a large dinner!
Waitress very nice and helpful.

Don't be mislead by Tripadvisor reports on the Loch Fyne Bistro which which I heavily suspect many were meant for this establishment .... not helped by this being called the Cairndow Oyster Bar & Restaurant O.k. it's at Cairndow but it's what is know elsewhere as simple Loch Fyne.
Our lunch was excellent with a good selection of oysters available and no complaints with the mains. What was good was the availability of fine ales from the Fyne Ales brewery which is a mile down the road

This is a very lovely restaurant, beside Loch Fyne and surrounded by the Mountains.Ambience inside, very good indeed, very attractive set up and decor. My husband's 8 scallops (main course) were particularly good, cooked in garlic and parsley butter.Nicely served in half shells.Might go for that next time.
My cod was nice, not wow.Could have done with a sauce of some kind I thought. Great chips with aioli! Treacle tart pudding was a deep sponge like pudding but home made and REALLY tasty.
All in all, we'll be back.

I think they play on the fact this hotel is old as all the rooms decor is ancient and overpriced. Food and drinks choice is excellent but a bit pricey and staff are all well trained to get as much of your money as possible. Hated that in the main bar area all they were interested was keeping reserved for couples coming in at all times of the night meaning if you only wanted a drink and listen to the entertainment standing at the bar is ur only option.

Award winning road side diner serving great fish & chips, burgers, salads, soups and home baking. We specialise in being family friendly, we have a great selection of gluten free food available and we welcome dogs (and well behaved owners!)
Their fish and chips are good, and had one of their gourmet burgers recently which didn't disappoint either. Everything is cooked fresh so that works. Thing that sets this place apart for me though is that you get a sense they are really trying to make it a welcoming restaurant, from the log fire to the pet-friendly attitude, to all the pictures and articles that show what the place means to people. It is pricey, but then it's on the edge of Glencoe so I guess that comes with overheads. Locating all those cakes at the door to greet you on the way in is just evil though.

We stopped in here on our way home and enjoyed a lovely dinner. The food was delicious and staff very attentive - Marta, thank you for being such a lovely waitress! Definitely recommend this hotel.

Good food and nice service. Reasonable prices. Good location in the main street of Inverearay. I had a waffle, my parents ate soup.

The first thing that you'll notice when you walk in will be the homely and inviting atmosphere, the second will be the very subtle aroma of beautiful local produce. Modern and traditional cuisine made using the best of local produce, served in a charming Scottish restaurant with a warming atmosphere. Informality is the order of the day at Brambles - we create a relaxed dining atmosphere to make all our patrons feel comfortable and at ease - combined with our friendly and efficient serving staff we know you will enjoy the dining experience as much as you will the food.
This café was deceptively large, looking quite small from the outside but was lovely and warm and very busy! I had the ham and lentil soup and my partner had the ploughmans. The soup was steaming hot and full of flavour and just the ticket for such a cold day. They weren't stingy with the tea either, coming in a huge pot. Unfortunately many of the cakes had gone so we settled for a shortcake caramel slice and I had Belgian waffles which came dotted with fresh fruit. I can see why it was such a popular venue and would eat there again.

A unique Cafe set amongst stunning scenery at the head of Loch Fyne. Serving Breakfasts, Lunches & Delicious local Home Baking alongside fabulous Hot & Cold Drinks
We called in for a snack lunch. Hubby had a bacon roll and I had the beetroot and goats cheese rarebit. A cappuccino and an apple and pear juice. Friendly staff, clean toilets and a well stocked gift shop. The plants looked good too. Nice setting on the side of Loch Fyne.
