We had a lovely evening meal with friends whilst staying in Cullen, The food was very good, service friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We chatted for a long time after the meal and the staff were quite happy for us to stay with no hint it was time to leave.
We enjoyed it so much we returned a couple of days later for the famous Cullen Skink at lunch time, it was superb and we were able to also enjoy the sea view.

Popped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Parked on the main street, straight outside the restaurant window. We were the only ones there initially, but it soon filled up.
The service was friendly and prompt. Our meals arrived quickly and were very good (just had to wait for a few minutes for my sauces to arrive, therefore my food's getting cold). These hand cut chips were good compared to others I've had recently (in other establishments). Also, the price was cheaper here too.

Stopped for a Sandwich and coffee. Excellent service and food couldn't be faulted. I thought the coffee was first class. A little bit on the pricey side, but would definitely return.

Went here for lunch with Mum. Friendly very efficient staff. Great selection of slightly different sandwiches and other faire. Mum had the hot smoked salmon Sandwich which she loved. I was to greedy. As part if my exploration of Cullen Skink in the north east I had some. It was delicious. Large chuncks of fish. I then made a waistline mistake and had the smoked mackerel and beetroot pate. It was great. My mistake was I ate far to much cause I wasn't going leave it cause it was all so good.
Just realised I need to up my star rating
Thanks

Excellent food extremely quiet night as snowy outside. Had mains poppudums and drinks. Only thing I would criticise would be two members of staff were laughing and joking loudly speaking in foreign tongue. Couldn't hear music or partner speak. We were only customers dining so I felt very uncomfortable.

Visited the restaurant in this hotel twice while staying at the Findochty Caravan park which is just next door.
Staff in the bar and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Food excellent - only complaint was the size of the portions - they were huge! Couldn't finish all the food.
The restaurant was very busy on the Saturday night, although we had booked, many people had just turned up, but the young waitress did a sterling job to ensure everyone was served in a timely manner.
Would go back again.

Quirky little cafe serving lovely homemade scones, cakes and food! Everything was lovely and served on lovely little China cups and plates. Lovely afternoon tea x

Situated right next to the old harbour in Portsoy we are open 7 days a week. Our menu includes freshly made soups, jacket potatoes, paninis, baguettes, sandwiches and toasties. Also a wide selection of locally produced and homemade bakes.
Had lunch here early November on a gloriously sunny day. Came to see the 17th century harbour and discovered this unassuming restaurant just by the harbour. Excellent food - had homemade Cullen Skink and a delicious Haggis and cheese baguette with a cappuccino - in one of the small booths. (No chance of being overheard by the next table!) Dogs are welcome - our West Highland terrier appreciated that! All I all a wonderful discovery!

I was brought up in Cullen and the ice cream is as good now as it was 45 years ago. Never go through Cullen without stopping here. We even make special trip's through just for the ice cream and a walk on the beach. The fresh ice cream here will never disappoint.
