We visited Casalinga after a break of around two years and this time with a small group on a Saturday evening. I appreciate that being close to Christmas there were several large groups there - but the noise was such that it was difficult to hear those we were with. Also, tables were packed in so that it was difficult to move without co-ordinating your move with the next table. The other issue, is something I have only found to happen at Casalinga - it is BYO Monday to Friday ($5 per bottle corkage), but fully licenced only on a Saturday and I assume a Sunday....as I try to frequent BYO restaurants, I am curious if other restaurants do the same thing? As for the food - I could only say average with what I thought to be a relatively limited menu. Sadly, the service on Saturday evening was nothing other than average - apart from the young waitress who told us that one of the desserts were "to die for" ....we declined. As for returning, it's highly unlikely that this reviewer will.

A great little place to come on a sunny day, sit outside sipping coffee eating Brunch while the kids play on the newish play ground. Service can be a little slow, but I think that's because the kitchen may be small. But either way, a lovely place to visit and unwind while the kids play ...... then the kids return and back to reality :-)

Lovely subtle decor inside with Seating available outside. Varied menu and not filled with just avocado and eggs! Our breakfast dishes were well presented and very enjoyable. The tangy eggplant relis with the goat cheese and herbed eggs was sensational. Coffee was very good and staff friendly and attentive despite the hectic pace.

Visiting here again with hubby and enjoyed a great meal. Food is always delicious, generous and well presented.
Staff are friendly, welcoming and professional, definitely trained well and help maintain the high reputation of this restaurant.
Platinum is great for breakfast and through to dinners, suppers or cake and coffees! This location is perfect for the locals and we really enjoy every visit.

We went with friends as we enjoyed our last visit.
After Seating, we desperately attempted to get the attention of staff, despite only 3 tables being occupied. They were only interested in takeaway customers.
Eventually we were served and the food was great - but not going back, there are plenty of Thai restaurants who also serve great food.

Food presented at this place looked like it was lovingly made and it tasted great too. I had the Avacado Smash, which was superb with riccotta cheese and beetroot hommus. Conveniently located in central Croydon just near the railway station. There is not a huge choice on the menu, but it is worth a visit.

Rather than drive to Victoria street my friend tammy recommended thai tables and wow what a treat.
The staff are lovely, prices are just right but the quality of the food was outstanding and deliciously delicious.
It looked incredibly fresh and wholesome and im really looking forward to going back.
I will highly recommend and i will definitely be back.
