We visited Corfu town and wanted a special meal out. The Pomo d'Oro did not disappoint. The setting in a quiet square just off the Main Street away from the hustle and bustle was lovely. The food was different from the usual Greek affair and exceptional. The goodies of the garden starter and the seafood bisque we would particular recommend. Service throughout the evening was exceptional.

This is our favourite restaurant in the world. A small and beautiful family run place, where the food is always exceptional and the atmosphere warm and relaxed. We come to Corfu most years, and always make the effort to cross the island to eat here at least twice a holiday. It's excellent Italian food is enjoyed mostly by the local Greeks which tells you all you need to know! Try any of their excellent salads, then the Rigatoni del pomorollo which is creamy Marsala perfection, and leave room for the excellent home made desserts...

Chose this restaurant because it was mentioned as being the oldest restaurant in Corfu town in the novel I was Reading by Emma Tennant who lived on the island for many years.
We ate outside on a balmy October evening and enjoyed traditional Corfiot food including a variety of starters and mains of fish and squid. Friendly service and good wine. A great spot for watching the world go by. Highly recommend.

Another place I would go to again and again and again if I could. Amazing food, decor, presentation, service, hospitality, prices. Just wonderful. Original well crafted menu. What a delight to try the aubergine salad and the cheese with jam (so unusual but perfect).
This is 5/5 but if I could make any suggestion for it to be 6/5 it would be to have yogurt and honey for dessert. But I can't complain... there is a cake shop across the road.
Perfect location. Perfect service. Back home now - getting hungry and jealous of all the people able to eat there tonight!

We went whilst on a quick visit to the island for dinner. Set in picturesque Old town the tables are outside on some of the stepped narrow Venetian built streets which are full of atmosphere. You’ll find a variety of simple typical Corfiot dishes, salads and pastas at a medium price.

we are now returning customers to the salto since many years - master soueref and his wonderful team always suprise us with something new and delicious - sending our tastebuds to unforgettable journeys - yesterday it was that schnitzel with potato salad (home mayo sauce) - by far one of the best schnitzel we had - and we tried them in Switzerland and yes, vienna to! - if you're in corfu never miss that place - culinary heave, great vibe and superb service and a wonderful crew - thank you maestro and all at salto! you rock!

Loved this restaurant. Was surprised to find it almost empty on arrival but it soon filled up. Attentive service and nice menu; a bit different from the usual taverna fare which was a nice change after the usual stuff. Was given fish soup and anchovies as an amuse bouche; nice touch. Had tuna cooked beautifully. All thoroughly recommended.

We visited this place the first day in Corfu town and ended up coming back many times during our holiday.
Food is great and prices are very reasonable. Lots of choices for vegetarians (starters) and portions are generous. We shared 5 starters between 3 people and was enough. At the end we were offered a complimentary dessert which was a really nice touch.
Highly recommended!!
