We have been visiting La Sitterie for several years now and can honestly say that we have never been disappointed . The chef Jaques is a master in his field, his dishes are a creative and during the years we have been going there we rarely have the same dish twice.The staff are brilliant and make you feel at home and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. We have travelled a lot and eaten in many excellent restaurants but I can honestly say that it's hard to find one that we enjoy eating in as much as this one.
It's fairly small,seating about 24 people so it's necessary to book well in advance. In the summer months there is a really pretty garden you can eat in and at night it looks lovely with fairy lights around. This restaurant is well worth a visit.

My colleague and I stumbled across this place by accident after visiting the Chateau's on the hill. We were both starving and craving something spectacularly tasty along with a glass of wine. Little did we know that half a dozen of our students were also dining inside. I didn't venture in but they told me later they were eating almost exactly the same meal as us.
The penne was soooo good. Best Ever. We sat outside and watched the world of Sion pass us by. Watch some of our students choose their own eateries and pondered over our Performances with the Choir so far.
A delightful cat came and went to say hello. Sweet.
Switzerland isn't cheap but fortunately, I wasn't paying so we had a lovely meal for a price that I would call mid range.
Staff were helpful - English was so-so but that's okay.
I'm not sure what my colleague ate but he was raving about it as well.
Gosh, I wanta return just for the penne. So fresh, light and delicious. Thank you.

The location is very good, the main courses (fish and meat) were excellent and the starters good, but the service totally inadequate for such an expensive place. Two of the 4 persons had to wait almost 10 minutes to get their main course, which was very embarrassing for everyone because one of the fish dish ordered was already on the table and getting cold . The day we were there the Deserts were not good.

Have visited this restaurant on a couple of occasions, always popular, with excellent service.
Would recommend reserving a table.
Meals are probably the best I have eaten in the area.
Menu different during the week to week-end, I prefer the weekend menu, more choice.
Looking forward to my next visit.

We had a tremendous, traditional Swiss meal, and an extremely enjoyable evening from start to finish.
I liked the triple choice starter, which was a little adventurous, but made sure there was something for everybody.
I loved the triple meat main, which was cooked and served to perfection. OK, so it was a bit difficult to differentiate the meats, because the seasoning was pretty strong, but the quality of the cooking and the flavours in the accompanying dishes were quite excellent.
The triple choice dessert was a great way to finish - enough quantity and enough variation, finishing the meal with a delightful symmetry.
Service was outstanding.

The food is always good but what sets apart this establishment is the historical environment. Set between an old Church and vineyards, Relais du Valais is a collection of rooms to provide comfort and privacy for small and large groups alike.
Value for money is excellent and the food choices are very good.

The food dished up here is tasty, well-portioned and presented with style. The kitchen is spotless. Local wines are served and the service is cheerful and helpful. Our waiter spoke some English.
Everything about the food, wine and service was tip-top. The only negative comment is about the atmosphere, which does not support the delicious food well, with its simple light wood furniture and hard chairs with lime green cushions. This was not a problem for lunch, however may be too informal for some for an eleganta dinner, which is a shame as the food is easily suitable for a nice occasion.
We ordered the tartine forestière, an entrecote de boeuf, 4 glasses of house local wine, and two coffees. All were excellent. The bill came to CHF 85.20, which is very pricey, but sadly not particularly so for Switzerland.
I recommend this restaurant.

J'ai souvent mangé dans ce restaurant qui ne paie pas de mine, mais ici tout ce que vous mangez est bon. Ici, c'est la patronne qui vous sert et le patron est en cuisine. Couple très sympathique et avenant. Pour ma part, je n'ai jamais été déçue de la qualité et de la quantité. Le menu du jour est également bien servi et les prix sont abordables.
Restaurant que je recommande vivement à tous.

nice, personal service. wide choice of food, not so much for vegetarians but still they make the effort to prepare a meal if you say please and thank you :) good atmosphere, interesting decoration with some special antics and also a very interesting choice of wines.
!must go there to cool down in the summer!
