We enjoyed a quiet dinner with quiet, unobtrusive but attentive service. Can recommend the sea bass and chicken main courses. Lovely bottle of red wine which was good value too.

Very nice surroundings, good service and very enjoyable meal. Good clean facilities. Only one complaint - why is the salt put in an open dish for people to dip fingers in? Not hygienic.

Nestling at the foot of the Highlands, the Deil's Cauldron specialises in fine food and fine wine. Fresh, seasonal, local produce only and carefully selected wines, the ideal choice for an intimate dinner or indeed any occasion. Superb traditional Sunday lunch menu. Tuesday - Sunday lunches and Tuesday - Ssturday evening meals. Cosy and intimate with a real personal touch from owners Brian and Katy Healy.
Arrived here on a blustery October evening as a party of 8. First impressions? The place looks warm and welcoming.
The menu is relatively concise but that is intended as a compliment. 4-5 starters, mains and puds. Wine list ample and not at silly prices. The pricing, although I was being treated, is very reasonable but doubtless tempered by relative remoteness.
Service was pleasant, prompt and efficent.
Starter of seafood hotpot really lovely. Needed more seasoning but you can add seasoning. Wife’s scallop and black pudding starter a common theme but nice enough. Main course of rump of lamb lovely as was wife’s seabass. Food was hot, nicely presented, tasty and well cooked? What else could you ask for? Have eaten at Andrew Fairlie’s, amazing experience, but in many way enjoyed this evening for the informality and well cooked food.

Whether relaxing over dinner in our award winning Conservatory Restaurant overlooking Loch Earn, enjoying a bar snack, or getting ready for the day ahead over breakfast, our kitchen team will do all they can to make dining a highlight of your visit to Achray House.Perthshire is often called Scotland's larder, and at Achray House we are eager to use this abundance of local produce in our contemporary Scottish menus. We draw heavily on local game, beef, pork and lamb, as well as shellfish from the west coast of Scotland, and fish from the east coast to put the best of the season on your plate. Our a la carte menu features seasonal dishes, daily changing specials and a few perennial favourites, whilst our bar menu is classic bar food with a Scottish twist, such as venison lasagne. Titillate your taste buds by browsing our bar menu, or samples of a winter menu, spring menu or summer menu . Our chef and his team are also happy to prepare your favourite dishes or cater for special dietary needs by prior arrangement.
Myself and my fiancee had a meal here on a Saturday night. The restaurant is within a lovely conservatory with views out over Loch Earn.
Staff were very friendly and service was good, it's not a huge restaurant so it was all very personal.
I went for the 7 course tasting menu, and every course was excellent! All my plates went back empty. It also included a cocktail to begin with, and tea/coffee at the end.
Would recommend that menu to anyone.

Were recently in Comrie to attend a wedding and as we all wanted to enjoy our evening we thought we would be sensible and line our stomachs. So we book lunch for 130.
Even although we were told lunches finish at 2 PROMT. No one received any food until after 230. They just couldn't cope - it was painful to watch as on previous visits this place ran like clockwork!! Food was nice and no complaints there - apart from the prices e.g. £15 for steak pie & chips is a bit steep if you ask me!!
A very scruffy looking chef / kitchen staff person was seen wandering back and forward through the beer garden area- and I'm very sorry to say this - but if I hadn't already ordered I wouldn't off as he did not look the cleanest!!!
We had all arranged to meet for drinks at 530 so it really messed up the afternoons plans.
Not submitting this to be nasty- as I said the place USED to run like clockwork- hope you can get back on track folks!!

Decent bottle of red, wonderful baked cheese starter. Mains were delicious and the Deserts were wonderful - glad it was a short walk back to our suite. Our waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable, very happy to tip.

Called in for lunch on way back from Crieff Hydro.
Service, atmosphere and food simply outstanding.
Children's menu great and quality as good as it gets; both the fish and chicken fillets were fantastic!
Menu is constantly changing, we had confit of duck and pork fillet, both superb, this is dining of an extremely high standard.
Overall really liked The Barley Bree, had not been for several years, will be back again, soon!!

Coffee is hard to find in this area. We were so glad to find this gem. Festooned with fairy lights, wonderful children's area, games on every table. The coffee and fruit loaf were excellent, but it was the patience of the girl who politely allowed 2 women with several children, who touched everything in the shop, to use the toilets and then walk out without paying for a thing, who impressed me. Top marks for a class act under severe provocation.

One Of 2 Restaraunts At Knock Castle Hotel & Spa
Not sure what to make of this restaurant. It seems modern, but has strange and old-fashioned decor items. There are nice views, but increasingly obstructed by trees. There are different menus options to choose from (7 courses, bar menus, a la carte), with posh descriptions...MoreWe are sorry to hear that you did not fully enjoy your visit with us.
