Always using locally sourced produce you are gaurenteed you meal at Richys is top quality every time
I was here yesterday for lunch with my daughter and two grandchildren.
Aoife was lovely. So welcoming and chatty. She looked after us so well and gave particular attention to my two little grandscamps!
The food was top class. They have a really varied menu with well thought out options. It’s owned by a chap from Mauritius and you can see it reflected in the menus.
They have high chairs for littluns so kids are well catered for.
I highly recommend it.

very nice restaurant and nice staff , quick service .
we got mussels and buffalo wings as starter both really nice . as main course we had the Hake fillet (special ) and a burger .
the hake dish had not much flavor but a hair in the batter , the burger was good but a bit dry . we paid 61€ wasn’t too bad but not sure if we go back there .

Recently dinned at Deasy's for Sunday lunch and it wasn't a good experience. Waited nearly 30 mins for someone to take an order... and 40 more for the starters.....
we were seated near the toilets which did not smell too well. The actual smell of urine was present in that area of the dinning room. But shortly masked with a scented candle
Service is all over the place.. when asked for a refill of water the waitress put her 2 fingers in to the jug and refilled it and then returned also with 2 fingers submerged n da same jug but filled ( my stomach just turned, just filthy no excuse could allow for it)
Deasy's was really good years back but IMO, Deasy's has very much gone down hill maybe still trading on what was the Good name for food.
Try Dillon's for lunch instead as it's much better

Consistently beautiful food. Service, presentation, quality, atmosphere all top notch. To my mind the best lunch available in clonakility. A creative menu with some old favourites like fish and chips but also some new flavors and ideas. Highly recommend. Love eating at scannells.

As overseas tourists passing through we needed coffee. Finding somewhere on a Sunday is difficult sometimes. Stumbled across this coffee shop and enjoyed the best coffee so far on our trip. Sat outside wrapped in the lovely fluffly supplied blankets watching the locals. Lots of locals here so that's the best indication that they are good.

All of our Chefs are originally from Thailand but they have lived in West Cork for nearly two decades. Sujittra had ambitions for many years to bring Thai cuisine to West Cork and now with the help of Phaibun and Weevasak this has become a reality
A group of five went here for dinner , absolutely Devine. Huge portions no long waits, really nice and friendly staff in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return here. Food very fresh and tasty. All 5 of us loved it

We are a family of 4 and ate here last night for dinner. The menu on display outside looked favorable and within our budget. My daughter ordered a scampi starter with a side of chips from the adult menu, she is not yet a teenager. My younger son ordered from the kids menu, chips and chicken nuggets/goujons. I ordered scampi and my husband ordered fish and chips. My daughters scampi looked different to mine even though they were both ordered from the same menu? Mine were definitely frozen from a packet, not great quality, The chips were like something I would buy from my local chip shop. Small little pieces and squashed together slightly. I ate my scampi and a couple of my chips. My dish was advertised as being served with chips and side salad, the salad in question was dressing the plate not a proper salad portion. My sons chips were a tiny portion, same quality as mine but he had maybe 10/12 and he got 2 chicken goujons, not particularly massive either. My husband said his was ok and my daughter ate hers. We paid and left. It was our dinner and that was that. We were disappointed by the quality. I would expect better out of a hotel in the middle of a busy little tourist town. If you were stuck for somewhere to eat it wouldn't be the worst of places but there are far nicer places to eat locally for the same money as we had done the night before. The lady that served us was lovely and helpful, shame about the food.
