A small, unique little restaurant in the central part of the university town of Louvain-la-Neuve. As we were visiting nearby in Rixensart, and it was Sunday evening, we decided to try our luck without Reservations. We were the first customers (around 7:00PM) and found that if you don't have Reservations, go early, because they fill their tables quickly. The food was, as expected, superb! After enjoying our appetizers, we chose their 2 fish dishes, one each, and were very pleased. A word of caution: if you are not local, and visiting Belgium, check out the rules for credit card acceptance. They only accept a card that has a "chip" found at the local bank. I think it is called a "proton card". Otherwise have some euros on hand.

Freshly designed, well located near a small park, friendly and very professional. Great food and value for money. The only downside: not children friendly, however as it`s closed on Saturday and Sunday lunch time - not many chances to get there as a family. We came without a reservation on a weekday but were greeted with a smile and seated at a nice table.
Service was very friendly and efficient.
The food was delicious. Fish was very very fresh.
The restaurant has a parking, which is very convenient.
We had an excellent dinner and will be back when we are in the neighbourhood again.

Just passing through at lunch time, we stumbled upon this restaurant and were immediately convinced it would be good. The friendly reception, the delightful smell coming from the kitchen, the customers looking happy and chatty. We were not disappointed. This place is very well known in the region, so maybe my high expectations were the cause of my deception. The food was fine, but not as tasty as the fancy names and high prices on the menu suggested. For example, it was the first time in my life that I had truffle with almost no taste. Globally the main problem here was the low value-for-money.

It's a grill, so expect lots of meat. The menu isn't huge, but there's a decent choice with steaks, pasta, fish, salads, etc. Staff are very friendly and the restaurant is lovely inside. The food we had was very good, definitely better than your average grill or brasserie. It's inventively presented with some nice touches. Overall I found the restaurant a little pricey, but then I guess the food is at the upper end of this type of place.

we had a client coming and we live just arounbd the corner so we thought ok why not to try, well already when entering the place it is horrible it smells of humidity and old basement, it is freezing cold and really depressing inside
the food is of a very poor quality nothing to do with fine italian dining
we were the only table in the whole restaurant and now I know why, to be honest if you want a good italian visit la luppia in wavre but avoid this one

Went for a lunch on Sunday as a family.
Once you find the place (that was not easy, as even the entry door is hidden behind the bushes) the Terrace looks fantastic, cosy and well populated with local crowd.
Menu is limited (they call it Suggestions), but an interesting combination of usual Belgian suspects with a cosmopolitan touch (a Burger a la maison).
My wife went for a beef meal (meat quality was not the best, she had to struggle to cut it), I got a fish (bit salty, but a great presentation) and our daughter went for a burger (was so rear, we thought they should call it Americano).
Service was nice, all in including a perfect desert (caffe gourmaine) we managed within 90 minutes. Portions are on a small side, especially given the prices above Brussels level.
Maybe come back, but there are so many great places around...

This resto not far from the city center serves tasty and healthy food in an eco-friendly environment. In addition only local, organic and fair trade ingredients are used and you can taste some good local beers. Decor is rather poor but I've learnt that a refurbishment is coming up soon. Sometimes it might get noisy. Service is friendly and efficient. But do not expect any remarkable or gastronomic dish; just plain, decent food at democratic prices. So I do recommend it for its excellent price/quality ratio.
