Berlengas Archipelago

Even if it rained a lot during our first hour in Berlengas, I totally recommend this place. We had an amazing day visiting the island and the amazing views from it. Also I recommend the boat trip to the caves and to take some food and drinks because there they are more expensive and there's only one restaurant. Beautiful natural place.

Baleal Beach

Was in Portugal for 3 weeks this summer. I love this beach!!!!! It's spacious and beautiful!!!! Parking gets busy as the day goes on but you can normally get parking at least on the street. The beach can get busy but not overcrowded. The tide can come up so be careful if you set up close to the water.

Cabo Carvoeiro

This is a few min drive from Peniche, a coastal road driving next to the coast sculpted by the sea and wind. There are not many spots open but several closed and in ruin fishing houses and, at the end a light house. Although there is no much to do a ride with a few stops is worthwhile.

Fortaleza de Peniche, Portugal

We visited the fort one evening before dinner. We didn't have time for the museum (in fact I am not sure it was even open) but just wandering around the building itself (which it seemed we could do free of charge) was enjoyable and atmospheric. The thickness of the walls up on the ramparts is truly something to behold!

Supertubos Beach

Plenty of space and plenty of surf. A fantastically clean beach with just enough waves for a decent surf, without being to intimidating for a swim. Appeared to be mostly locals, lots of bohemian and surf types hanging out here. Lovely dunes for shelter and a long expanse of uncluttered golden sand. One of my favourite Beaches along the silvercoast so far.

I can understand why this beach is a surfers paradise- the waves and the wind provide the perfect combination! However I am not a surfer so while I think the beach is great the constant strong wind is a bit too much for a non-surfer. Fabulous location, great views, lovely place

How we live in our protected society in the UK. There is no written English here, but you must go to pass even just 1 hour. Faschism in 1974!!! The Portugese government imprisoned ordinary people(mechanic...12 years) for speaking out against them. South Africa ring a big bell. It is in Portugese, but the photos and the cells bring it to life. DO IT

Plenty of space to spread out and relax. Pools well guarded and good sized fun slides for all ages. These pools have been here for many years and are well maintained with a good number of lifeguards on duty at all times. Cafe on site with hot and cold food and friendly service. right next to campismo de Peniche so only a short walk if you are staying there. There is also a disco contained in the complex.

Molhe Leste Beach

The day was rather windy, but it was so lovely to have the entire beach to ourselves. There were some fishermen on the pier nearby, but the beach was practically isolated. Relax, refresh, enjoy!
