Carrigaline (Irish: Carraig Uí Leighin, meaning "rock of Ó Leighin") is a commuter town and civil parish in County Cork, Ireland. It is about 14 km south of Cork city which can be reached by car in 25 minutes (along the R611, which passes through the town, and then the N28 Ringaskiddy–Cork road). Carrigaline has grown rapidly in recent years, from a village of a few hundred people into a thriving town, although many locals still refer to it as "the village". The town is one of the key gateways to West Cork, especially for those who arrive by ferry from France.

This is the best Indian meal my husband and myself have eaten in Ireland and we have travelled throughout Ireland trying what’s available over the past eleven years. Cooked freshly so maybe a little wait if busy but so worth it. Lovely flavor very professional and friendly service. The restaurant is so nicely decorated and so clean. Worth trying for your first visit the Sunday Lunch set menu. A choice between to starters & main course finishing with ice cream or coffee. A something around €14 adult less for children worth a try. Full menu served other with plenty of choice every evening .

A large modern block hotel on a main cross road as entering the town centre. Too many staff who seemed to find lots of funny jokes that seemed to halt them from taking a food order
Very modern-clearly aimed at the "In crowd" with large TVs and rather load old rock music. I must be strange- I wish to eat my food and have a conversation without having to almost shout.
Food wise when it cam- acceptable plenty of it and at a reasonable price

Good value Food, drinks and IRISH MUSIC is what makes the South County Bar & café, Douglas a must when visiting Cork. Douglas village is a short taxi ride(3 miles) from Cork city and the South County is within walking distance of local hotels The Maryborogh House & Rochestown Park Hotel(both 10 mins walk). This award winning Irish pub has an old world feel, has a cosy snug and a wonderful outdoor area, 'The Guinness beer Garden'. IRISH MUSIC sessions throughout the year...Every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights aswell as a fun sing-along ballad session every Sunday at 6pm. This pub also boasts a large selection of Irish whiskies in the Whiskey corner and serves the tastiest Irish coffee around !!
Always pop in when in the city. Very good bar that serves decent food. Fantastic on the ball service - really professional friendly staff.
Also have some decent live music - managed to catch some guys playing on Sunday's session - loved O'Neills March.
Keep up good work.

Had lovely food but was mislead by dessert menu, and after choosing strawberry ice cream I got sorbet which wasn’t what I wanted as it was pure sugar, other than this I would recommend as staff were pleasant, place was clean and welcoming and food...MoreLovely to see you Caitlin. Thank you kindly for the lovely review..we hope to see you again. Kind regards..

Friday was our second visit to the Bistro in just over a month. Again the food was top class. The value for money is exceptional. I had seafood chowder for starter. With the home made bread, this was a meal in itself. For mains, I went again for the lamb shank. Beautiful but I was so full after the chowder that I failed to finish the dish. The "boss" had Paupiette of Sea Bass stuffed with a prawn and salmon mousse. She also had the lamb shank for mains.
19.95eu per head for the two courses. With a few gallses of wine and coffee, our total bill was just over 50eu.
Definitely worth a try. Lovely ambiance and the staff are experienced.
Great to have a decent restaurant in Carrigaline.
ps at present, the Bistro is only open on Fri/Sat nights

We had a 'snatched' breakfast here before a meeting. A lovely venue with people dropping in for coffee and a read of their newspapers. We must have had some of the very best scrambled egg on toast; rich, creamy and simply delicious. The coffee was great too. I would happily eat here again.

The Workshop is a local family business run by brothers Aiden and David. Our menu is very simple, for breakfast we serve, Organic Porridge with fruit compote, French Toast and Bacon and Scrambled eggs and Bacon. Our Lunch menu consists of gourmet sandwiches, soups, daily hot specials and our Tapas Salad. If your looking for something sweet you've come to the right place, we have a fantastic selection of desserts available daily. We have a large selection of teas, use fantastic Badger and Dodo coffee, and a variety of specialty drinks from Mochas to Oreo Milkshakes. We try to keep things as local as possible with most of our suppliers found here in Cork. We aspire to echo the service of the good old days and so we serve our tea in vintage fine bone China. We have aslo taken a backwards approach to the phrase "out with the old in with the new" in that you'll find the furniture found within the premises is either Antique, Vintage or Up-cyclyed.
What a gorgeous little place out in the country! Such a quirky little spot with a warm welcome , food was delicious, great coffee and I spoilt myself to one of there many Deserts they had to offer which was so tasty. Everything tasted so fresh and the staff were so lovely and friendly. Recommend to book at the weekends. Definitely worth the trip!

We were a party of four -my husband and I and my sister and husband visiting from Germany. When we visited the ladies toilets we were disgusted. There was toilet paper all over the floor. The taps were running. The toilets were blocked with toilet paper and the rest. Both toilets didn't flush. One of the toilet seats were on the floor. We had to use them unfortunately but we were disgusted, if you're paying money for drink/food then the facilities should be up to standard.
