Very cute restaurant with a very friendly owner! We were hungry after a day at the Carbet falls, and he served us a perfect caribean lunch and dessert.

We went with a group of French Canadians and Guadeloupeans - about 50. The food based on manioc flour was great. We had a sample of 3: fish, ham and vegetarian. There was also a dessert one. You bring your own booze. While we ate, we received some explanation from Germaine herself. At the end they asked for volunteers to go make your own Kassav. Great experience at a very cheap cost.
A must. Every Friday night. Groups more than 20 need a reservation for another night.

We had a very small starter (1 euro each but it was very small!) and chicken after. the food was not hot (=nearly cold) and the chicken was dry so I had to ask for some mustard in order to spice it a little bit! Mustard they had to get from the souvenir shop as there mustard was on sale. the people were nice but the cook was missing from the kitchen! Notice that I don t use the word Chef!

We stumbled upon this place for lunch while driving around the perimeter of the island. By chance we were hungry as we approached this town and decided to walk around. We couldn't find much going on but found a few little green signs advertising for this restaurant with arrows pointing toward it.
We found it, and were pleasantly surprised to have one of our best meals on the island. It's a cozy corner restaurant with air-conditioning and very clean.
The food was delicious, with meat on skewers that hung over the place with various local sides (we originally thought we selected one of 4 or 5 sides but you actually get ALL of the sides.
The food was filling and delicious, and the waiter (owner?) was friendly and fun. Other diners appeared to enjoy their meals as well.
The price was quite reasonable as well for all of the food that they provided. I'm not sure what the dinner menu is like (or if it's the same) but I would recommend this place fully.

We read all the great reviews and made sure to eat at La Roma when we stayed near Capesterre. David's restaurant is first rate, he makes some of the best pizza we have ever eaten, including on our trips to Europe. We tried two different pizzas - La Primera and El Pollo, and both were delicious, especially El Pollo, which is smoked chicken with crème fraîche - fantastique! The restaurant is cute and colorful, and David's service is attentive. He is a charming host. He told us we were the first Americans to visit his restaurant, and I hope we can encourage others to visit as well. We wish David the best of luck and can't say enough about our wonderful dinner. We look forward to returning, it was one of our better dining experiences in our two trips to Guadeloupe.
P.S. - Don't forget to try some of David's hot oil on your pizza, it's spicy and delicious!
