Amore Mio

We visited Callantsoog 2 years ago and were very pleased but unfortunately not this time. The pizza's are really good. But the starters are very poor. The salata mista was not more than a plate With green salad, a tomato and some olives, no dressing at all. We asked for a bit vinegar and oil to season the salad a bit. The scampi were grilled but had absolutely no taste. I needed to use som salt and pepper. The price was 13 euro for 3 scampi!!! The tirami su didn't taste italian at all. No mascarpone taste at all. The staff was ok, a bit messy. Sorry Amore mio but not this time.......

The restaurant has a trendy look and trendy Music playing. The staff was ok. The menu was interesting. The Food was really good, Nice taste. Though the water was expensive (4,40 euro for half a liter) and the wine was good. It's ok to pay almost 6 euro for a glass of wine when it is good but there was very little wine in the glasses. We didn't choose to eat dessert this time.

This restaurant maybe doesn't look that fancy like their trendy neighbours but the food is ten times better. We ate her twice with our family. The service is great. Everyone is very friendly. (At "De Toko" they ignored us completely). The food looks simple but is of great quality. Perfectly prepared fish, very good salad. This is one of the best restaurants of Callantsoog! Great value and nice wine.

This is such a cozy restaurant exisitng of a nice restaurant and a covered Terrace surrounded by windows allowing a view onto the village. It also has a Terrace with rattan Seating. The place is filled with flowers, plants and candles giving it a very homy and cozy feeling. The food is good with a typical Dutch menu of fish and meat dishes. The meat especailly the tournedos is delicious as is the cod. All dishes come with different types of potatoes and vegetables. I love this place especially in the winter as it is so cozy. The service is friendly and accomodating.

We have spent one evening for dinner in Woest. You can sit outside and inside, rustic ambiente and good view to the seasite guaranted. Typical dinner for this area with local dishes including fish, meat and unusual but tasty salads. Very polite and good service, even if restaurant is well visited.

Excellent relaxing atmosphere, with a very nice chilled and comfy decor. The food is really very high standard accros quite a few cuisines. Make sure you try the vos ijskofie (vos ice coffee) on the hot days - you will MELT!

We quite liked the look of the menu, and the layout and decor looked attractive, so in we went. What did we find? Unwelcoming and apparently confused staff (Us "can we eat?" - staff "I don't know, what time is it?"). Dreadfully inattentive and dismissive service. Food unappetising, soulless, tasted like it had been pre-cooked and reheated.

This is such a lovely restaurant - always busy, with loads of locals enjoying the reasonably priced and very tasty fish, pancakes, toasties and other Dutch treats. What could be nicer than sitting here in the sun on Easter day enjoying a coffee with a shot of advocaat and slagroom (whipped cream). If you are ever in N Holland, don't miss it or the local beach bars which are also superb.

We had icecream and the kids declared it as the best they ever had. While this seems a bit a exaggeration, the ice was indeed very good and they were not stingy with the whipped cream either. If you are above Amsterdam, a visit is recommended

Classic in the sense of it could have been an episode of "Kitchen nightmares" with Gordon Ramsey.
The pizza's looked fine, but were soggy and tasteless; the burger had so much of that horrible pink sauce on it that it totally made me regret ordering it;
We were with 7, however we got 5 little breads as predish;
The extra fries never came
Never again.
