I came here nearly 8 years ago when it was called as T-cafe. It is famous with its fruity scones which will be sold out by noon during public holiday. The place is small and u may ned to wait for table or share with someone else. Everything is self service. The scone is still nice. Other than scone other food is just average. If u happens to visit here nearby can drop by but fo not have to struggle all the way to come here if u stay far in Brinchang town especially during holiday which may take up to 2-3 hrs dt traffic jam.

It can be quite chilly at night in the Cameron Highlands so eating at the Gonbei, sitting around a warming heater for our 'steamer' dinner was just right. We had a selection of local vegetables, seafood, lovely thin slices of beef and noodles to dip into a chicken broth with noodles. There was plenty to eat and you could top up with more fresh veggies and noodles any time.

We planned to had dinner at "The Dining Room" @ Smoke House, but came to "The Dining Room" @ Cameron Highland Resort in accident.
The waiters are courteous, food are really nice, bread is served before main course.
However the main course is too big for me and my gf. We also overheard that the couple next to our table also commenting the same.
The restaurant only open after 7 pm and dress code is smart casual.

Looking at the prices, normal everyday folk like me cannot only afford to walk around the garden which has beautiful flowers and a mossed cover roof.
you feel transported to mother England
i wish our ringgit was bigger so we cannot afford the afternoon cream tea at rm40 a shot ! Guess i will have to go to the mamak shop near maybank tanah rata for my teh tarik at Rm2 !!

Had breakfast there. The roti (canai) telur and chapati were quite ordinary and average in my opinion. What stood out was the naan with fresh strawberry slices and honey, first time I came across it.
Being a cheap place, people shared long tables and a couple from Japan sat next to us. Table-tops not so clean and we could see food still sticking to the cutlery that wasn't properly washed. We chose to eat with our hands as a result.
The staff were friendly and accommodating and it was obviously one of the most popular tourist joints with large crowds day and night. However, for Indian food on Camerons, I enjoyed nearby Singh's Chapati much more although one would pay more for the food and drinks.

The current listings on trip advisor are very limited and this relatively new establishment provides good food at reasonable prices, and provides a different choice (japanese) for people (esp after travelling for an extensive time in Malaysia)
Exceptional food. Gyoza and bipimpap absolutely beautiful. Partner ate spring rolls and pork Kim chi. Was described as spicy but he said it wasn't. Simple restaurant but highly recommended. Best food in Tanah Rata. Child friendly and several there when we ate. Staff great and attentive

We were lodged in the Strawberry Park Resort. Our guide who was with us on our trip from Melaka to Penang suggested to bring us to Tanah Ratah to have the classical steamboat. The food was very good and also very cheap. Try the spice variety. It is definitely better
