Went here with family when staying in Bridlington. A lovely restaurant with a good atmosphere. We had a drink in the small bar area while perusing the menu, so were able to put orders in before taking our table. I had Thai pork loin which was beautifully cooked and delicious and my wife had steak that was also very good. The service was very good and friendly and the atmosphere was great.

Located on the beautiful and dramatic cliffs of East Yorkshire, The North Star Hotel has an award winning restaurant famous for fresh Flamborough seafood and wild game caught on the Yorkshire Wolds. Local produce is prepared and presented by classically trained Chef Michael Johnston, his wife Karen, and their team of loyal staff, to bring French cuisine and traditional Yorkshire fare to this exceptional, historical location. Be assured of the warm welcome and personal attention that only a small family owned hotel can offer.
After returning to Thornwick bay, we thought we would eat here again. Food was just as nice as last year. I had steak pie and my husband had belly pork. You get turines with chips, potatoes, veg and gravy. Quite an old fashioned place which is relaxing. Staff are very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Would recommend.

We visited today for the youngest’s birthday having never been before. There were four adults and three kids. It was the afternoon therefore quiet so plenty of tables to chose from. The girl that served us was very friendly and accommodating we asked for couple of changes to our steaks and no problems.I had the rump rare and was cooked perfect. The other half went for a burger which was large Had everything on it. He enjoyed it said the chicken was lovely and the pulled pork nice but burger a bit greasy. Chips were gorgeous. One had cheese burger and youngest a mini burger from childs menu it was very small so ordered him another mini burger to go alongside. It was his birthday after all!! The classic hot dog was not available therefore a chicken fillet was offered instead and was enjoyed. Coffee was nice. They brought the cake out for us that we had taken with us and sang happy birthday. Overall nice place friendly staff/owner and would def visit again.

I was really looking forward to trying this place. The food was really nice and there was a good selection on the menu. The steak was amazing too and the spinach and ricotta cannelloni was really tasty!
The waiting on staff were pleasant and polite but we found no one came to the table to ask if we wanted any drinks so a few of our party were sat there without for a good twenty minutes. Also, it took a long time to get the bill and eventually we started putting our coats on and paid at the bar.
All in all we’d still go back as the foodgod was delicious but disappointed a bit with the service, maybe they were having a bad night.
